Keeps a room, home, bedroom, apartment, dorm or garage comfy during the summer months when the heat sets in. Works in double hung or sliding windows only, no crank windows. To minimize noise and vibration, the air conditioner should be placed on a firm floor. For safe and secure positioning, place the unit on a smooth, level floor strong enough to support the unit. For a better cooling, make sure all the windows and doors are closed. Connect the duct and make sure it can function properly. Also note that, mirco processor control delays the compressor from operating until 3 mins have passed.

    LEAKING FREON ( out of the box)

    Got this product in 30 mins ago … leaking freon. I’m 9 months pregnant and as you can assume I’m very upset and concerned that’s I’ve been breathing this. The coils are also bent inside! Very cheaply made for what they are charging.

    Cool me Black +Decker

    I had doubts but the Black +Decker name I have always trust. I setup the Black + Decker portable air conditioner in my small bedroom because it couldn’t fit in the living room . I let it set for 24 hours before I turned it on ,my only disappointment is I didn’t buy 8000BTU It really works,my air conditioning is not working so I needed something that would keep me cool , not too expensive, easy to install and clean with out too much hassle . I am going to buy the 14000BTU. To use for my entire Home. It’s has its own remote

    Go ahead and get one You won't regret it

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] But one of these for my garage, and took it out to the camp where it now stays. I'm going to get another one for the garage now it'll run you out of the place if you leave it on high it blows super cold and when you need it it's got heat. The dehumidifier works great too highly recommend.

    Keeps my camper at an ideal temperature

    I like to go on long camping trips. The last few weeks the temp has been below 20°F and I can keep the camper around 65 to 70. It's a lot more convenient than propane if you have access to electricity.

    Just what we were looking for.

    We bought those for a large, upstairs guest bedroom. The room was difficult to cool without freezing the rest of the house. This unit was perfect for our needs and cools very well.

    Very impressive unit

    Just purchased the ac for my small apartment. Very pleased with this item. It was easy to install. Very happy that it came with a 60" window kit. The amount of cooling it creates is enough to cool my entire space. It's very quiet compared to window mounted versions and the remote is simple to use. Haven't tried the heat or dehumidifier modes. But I suspect that they will be a good addition! I would recommend this product to anyone tired of messing around with seasonal installations and removal of their window mounted unit.
