Go back to the old recipe!!
I have made cupcakes with this cake mix many times in the past 2 years with the old recipe. I just bought two new boxes and noticed immediately the smaller size, which is fine but the recipe has also changed. I just tried to eat one of the cupcakes and the grainy texture and flavor or absolutely inedible. It's very unfortunate as in the past when I used to make these cupcakes everyone could not believe they were gluten-free. They would not stop eating them. Please go back to your old recipe or else you will most likely not see anyone buying your cake mixes any longer for the gluten-free cake mix.

Horrible to make birthday cake
What is wrong with this cake mix???? I did SIX recipes today trying to do a birthday cake and ALL OF THEM BROKE. I couldn’t even put a frosting, all cakes were GONE. Waste of money, this mix SUCKS. And I lost all my ingredients too!

Yummy for a birthday cake
I love to make angel food cake for my December birthday and frost it with a cocoa whipped cream in layers and ofc pile on a bunch of crushed peppermint and candies lol. This cake is always good and as long as I cook it in a dedicated pan (no grease anywhere) it rises well. I like to cut it with a serrated knife, slicing it like a saw so it comes out pretty. Price is a little high but if I tried to make it from scratch the ingredients would be soo expensive.

I was very disappointed about this cake mix as I love super moist yellow cake of all varieties but after baking this cake and following exact Directions whats said to be moist ...actually was super dry falling apart....

Loyal, but not anymore
What is going on Betty Crocker? First, we changed the ounces and now, we’ve changed the ingredient amounts with not a word on front of the box of this new change. I was making a cake with 2 “older” boxes and a brand new box of mix. Afterwards, I noticed they had different oil amounts. What gives?! For those of us who like to add some ingredients to make a nicer cake, you’re making it more and more difficult to stay loyal to a brand that cuts ingredients and raises prices. So disappointed

Not the best mix
I found this cake mix to be too dry. I used strawberry puree instead of water to make a strawberry cake, so I achieved a good flavor. But the mix was too dry, I wish I had made this cake from scratch instead.

Reducing the amount of cake mix in your boxes is NOT the answer. We have been using cake mixes in recipes for over 70 years. Not only did the size decrease, but price increased. Change it back and increase the price if you have to. Otherwise, you'll continue to lose business.

The quantity in the box is way less than 6 months ago, I had a box in my cupboard and noticed how light the box is, I opened both boxes and took out both contents and noticed the new box is 1/4 less than the 6 month old box

Who is being paid off?!
Every review is the same… amount of product has Ben reduced and it has affected the quality in a bad way. Yet the article has this at the top rated mix! What gives? I just use the mix as a starting point and do my own thing (milk instead of water, butter instead of oil, a healthy dose of top quality vanilla extract) so it really doesn’t affect me too much but I am disappointed in the company for what they are doing all in the name of maximizing profits. And you as a reviewer/writer of the article are supporting them.

Out of the box, fantastic!
I love that this recipe uses butter because it makes a huge difference in texture and flavor over oil. I baked this as a pineapple upside down cake, crumb was very light and a very outward buttery flavor. These mixes are slept on and so underrated. Will buy again!

Dry, Dense
I'm new to this gluten free thing so I was happy when I found this cake mix. I made the cake for my husbands birthday and while it didn't taste awful it was as dry as a popcorn fart (and that's dry). It is so dense, the next day it was almost impossible to cut. I will try other brands and maybe I'll try this again and add some other liquid to add moisture. So unless you like dry, dense cake and don't know how to finesse gf mixes I would suggest staying away

I've missed cake so much!
This was great. I'm also dairy free and egg free due to allergies, so I subbed with applesauce, avocado oil, baking soda and acv. It was great!!!I'm sure there are things I can use for slightly better texture-they say you should let the dough rest for 20mins before baking if it's GF. I'm very glad they make this without tapioca starch, as that causes nausea for me. No stomach issues with this!! Ate a whole batch of cupcaes in 2 days myself hahaha.

This is the worst, driest, tasteless junk I’ve ever had the misfortune to eat. I don’t know what they’ve done to it but save your time and money. It’s no longer a good cake mix. If I could give it negative stars, I would. Thanks for ruining my birthday.

Excellent product/reduce sugar
this product is an excellent choice for baking, but needs a sugar reduction. it’s a little too sweet but still yummy.
