This Base Stand accommodates to all market umbrellas but the it's most ideal for holding most 6-10" umbrellas with 1.5-1.9" pole diameters like the 7.5ft Outdoor Solar Patio Umbrella for example. Q: What is the distance from the top of the tube, to the top of the knob? We need 1/2 inch for it to fit in crossbar hole and still turn knob.

Bought this last summer. After only a few months of use, the metal on the bottom began to rust. It has now left rust stains in a number of places on my patio making it useless. Plastic base sounded like a good idea, except for the metal center that contacts the ground
