This is my son's favorite toy. He picked it out at Target when he was 17 months old and it has been played with daily for 4 months straight. It helped him learn a lot of animal sounds too.

I saw some comments about the sensors, being weird and it almost kept me from buying it, but I’m glad I did. This works great. Good quality and build! My only complaint, I wish it was over all a bigger size! It’s rather small and so most of the pieces are pretty small. Would be awesome if they made a bigger version too. Definitely worth buying when it goes on sale as it does fairly often.

My daughter received this for her birthday, and for the past six months the animal sounds have never worked. She still enjoyed the puzzle aspect, but the sound feature just wouldn’t activate. Tonight, out of nowhere, the puzzle started making random noises for the first time. After testing it, my husband figured out that the sensors do work — they just require a strong amount of light to detect when a piece is placed correctly. When he shined his phone’s flashlight on it, it worked perfectly every time. So the mystery is solved, but it’s still frustrating how overly sensitive the sensors are.

Toddler LOVES it! Learned the sound each animal made within a week. Now working on the names :) consistency is key. The cow is the fav one.

My 6 month old baby loves this! He really enjoys animal sounds so this was perfect for him. I love it has the option to turn off the sound if you don’t want to hear the animal noises, otherwise you’ll hear the animal sounds every time you pick up them up and put them back down in their spot.

My 15 month old loves this toy. I love the option of the sound. My son learned most of his animal sounds using this board.

Got this as a gift sound doesn’t work. Otherwise cute puzzle

Sounds do not work useless without the sounds. Now a trip to return

We got this for our son after his developmental therapist suggested working on animal sounds and fine motor skills, and I’m so happy this does both! I thought it wasn’t working at first because the sounds were not working, but after tightening the screw to the battery pack a little more, it started working!

Overall, this is a great puzzle and I love that it’s interactive. You need a lot of light, though for the sounds to work, which is odd because it rarely works for us unless we have it in directly by a window. I love the size and thickness of the pieces and it was a great price.

Randomly works or does not work (no sounds)!?!

It’s unfortunate that this product seems inconsistent since other people are having issues with it. Our’s works perfectly. The design is cute and even the small pieces are big enough for my toddler’s little hands.

The puzzle was nice, but the sounds weren’t consistent. Often one of them didn’t make a sound at all.

My daughter loves this puzzle. I don’t know why there are negative reviews .. this puzzle is wonderfully made and works just fine.

Doesn't make the correct animal noises with the correct animals. Replaced it and the second one showed up without the sensors for each animal and didn't make noise at all.
