Description

The Athlon Optics 10x42 Neos G2 HD Binoculars offer superior features perfect for hunting, birding, stargazing, concerts, or sports. Special coating on prisms produces images with better contrast, a higher resolution and better color reproduction. A protective coating gives you extra protection on the exterior lenses to prevent the scope from enduring dirt, oil, and potential scratches. A multi-layer prism coating reflects over 99% of the light to your eyes thus bringing you a clear, bright image that displays accurate color reproduction. The magnesium chassis has the strength of a metal chassis but is more lightweight. The 16.1 mm long eye relief allows glasses wearers to see clear, crisp images every time. Twist-up eyecups can be adjusted for glasses and create viewing comfort.

    Perfect Starter Binoculars for Kids & Everyday Use

    I picked up the Neos G2 HD 8x42s for my 9- and 12-year-old kids so they could glass alongside me on our elk hunt — and they’re absolutely perfect. Lightweight enough for small hands, forgiving eye relief, and not overwhelming in magnification. The 8x power provides a wide field of view, which makes it much easier for beginners to pick up moving game without frustration. The image is bright, crisp, and far better than I expected for the price. Even in dim light, my kids could clearly see elk on distant hillsides and were genuinely excited to use them. That’s exactly what I wanted — gear that helps them stay engaged and learn the skills without breaking the bank. Durability feels excellent, and I have no doubt these will survive the bumps and drops that come with young hunters.     Excellent binoculars

    I purchased these binoculars for birding and for scanning nearby ridges while hiking. The image is very crisp, they're relatively light-weight, and easy to adjust between viewers. I did notice that the eyepiece cover was somewhat damaged upon arrival - nothing that changes the usability of the product. I have not had any other experience with Athlon, but this product does show their attention to quality regardless of price-point.

    Impressive Clarity

    I was pleasantly surprised by the clarity and sharpness of the Neos G2 8x42, especially at this low of a price point. So far I have taken the binoculars out for a walk around the local parks and done some nature watching, and was impressed with the picture I Was able to achieve with these binoculars. While the argument can be made that these binos are somewhat big and heavy, most other brands offering similar products have this same issues. At least with this brand, you are saving a couple hundred dollars. Overall, I am very impressed with this product from Athlon Optics.

    Can’t beat it

    Better glass than some of my optics that cost 5x the amount. Bought these to toss in the patrol bag to as a spare set. Focus is great, lightweight, priced right.

    Expedient!

    Great value for the money. I pretty much use these for getting quick views of all the wildlife we have living around us. My 11 year old daughter also loves using them for this purpose. It comes with lens covers, a bag and a neck strap. So far we love these binoculars and I’ll look to this brand again possibly for a spotting scope I need.

    Great pair of binos

    I own several Athlon optics and have been very happy with all of them. I ordered these to replace a pair of Vortex Diamondback binos I carry in my truck and am really impressed. These are lighter, have locking eye cups, and the clarity and resolution beat the Diamondbacks by a fair margin. I gave a 4 star rating only because when comparing to higher tier Athlon glass, these are obviously not as good, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone. Whether you are looking for a spare binocular or if these will be your main hunting/birding bino, I don't think you'd be disappointed for the money.

    Better then expected

    The optical clarity was better than my Vortex Diamondback 10x42. Use them for hunting and wildlife watching under 1000 yards. Great set of binos for the price!

    Best bino's for hunting and the price!!!!

    I bought these binoculars for hunting because I have a pair of their Cronus 15x56 binoculars that I use for competitions in PRS and NRL matches and they are absolutely amazing. For these binoculars, Let's just say the first hunt I went on with these specific binoculars I got two does and one god sized buck because I could clearly see them through the wood line with these binoculars. For the quality of the glass you get with these for the little they cost you can not beat it one bit that is for sure. I highly recommend these binoculars to everyone that asks about which binoculars should they use to hunt with that will hold up to the outdoors. IF YOUR READING THIS BUY THE BINOCULARS!!!!!

    Nice just wish I would have gone up a level

    These binoculars are good for what they cost. The focus could be better but still worth the cost. Would recommend for someone on a tight budget like me.

    Initial impression

    Out of the box these binos seem sturdy and solid. Glass appears clear and crisp. With my initial limited use they seem to be built out of great quality materials, and for the lower tier binos a great buy. I have not taking them out into the field yet to test but can't wait to compare them to my vortex diamondbacks. With that being said I don't think you can go wrong with purchasing these quality binos. I will update my review after I really take them out and test them.
