Description

The Athlon Optics 10x42 Argos G2 HD Binoculars offer superior features perfect for hunting, birding, stargazing, concerts, or sports. Special coating on prisms produces images with better contrast, a higher resolution and better color reproduction. A protective coating gives you extra protection on the exterior lenses to prevent the scope from enduring dirt, oil, and potential scratches. A multi-layer prism coating reflects over 99% of the light to your eyes thus bringing you a clear, bright image that displays accurate color reproduction. The magnesium chassis has the strength of a metal chassis but is more lightweight. The 16.1 mm long eye relief allows glasses wearers to see clear, crisp images every time. Twist-up eyecups can be adjusted for glasses and create viewing comfort.

    Really great value for the quality

    I bought these to use for wildlife watching, and so far they’ve been great. They’re a good bit less expensive than many binoculars and have a nice crisp clear image. The colors are particularly nice!

    Entry level bino, good price.

    Great for the money

    I needed some affordable, dependable binos for work. These have been extremely clear and durable for the last year and have been slammed around a few times. 4/5 because my binocular pet-peeve is floppy lense covers that just fall right off. Update: they are still doing great, I've used them hundreds of times at this point with no issues and they're still crystal clear. Update 10/03/25: the glue on an eye cup housing has failed and the tube is no longer sealed. I think eventually I wont be able to see out of it.

    Great binos - especially for the price

    I purchased these after owning other Athlon binoculars for a few years. I now have this particular model in both 8x42 and 10x42. I love how clear the optics are and the ability to pick out details that is affords. I appreciate how the focus knob is smooth and easy to turn.

    Great glass, horrible protection.

    I’m no expert on binoculars but these are really clear and very comfortable to view through. I can say the dollar to quality ratio is on the side of quality. The lense covers are probably the worst covers I’ve ever received on optics. They will require modification to stay on. Hopefully Athlon covers lenses scratches or sends out new protective lense covers that actually fit.

    Better than expected at price point.

    Feels solidly built, excellent clarity and image stability. If the only drawback is its heavy weight, I’ll take the quality of the optics. I have more expensive Nikons that don’t match these.

    The price for these binoculars was a solid value . These binoculars offer an excellent entry level choice for viewing objects from near and afar. The eye relieve adjustment found on other more costly binoculars works well for the new user. This item is best for the beginner for the quality and price .

    Clearest Binos I've Ever Owned

    I got this when Athlon was having a flash "extra percentage" off deal. As an outdoors guy and a former LEO, I always had middle of the road glass from the "cheaper" brands. I got these yesterday and immediately took them to a nearby lake. I was astonished at the quality of the glass. I have tried Steiner and Nikon from other people and these were equally as clear. Then on the way home I was able to glass 5 deer. Thusfar I am very happy with these and feel confident with the Lifetime Warranty. I think this won't be my only Athlon purchase.

    First time buyer but (probable) lifetime user.

    These guys have amazing clarity, sturdy build and easy to use features. I bought them right before a family trip up to Yellowstone and they did NOT disappoint. My kids and I were able to spot all sorts of critters with ease that we would have otherwise missed. They're built pretty tough so I wasn't super concerned with my kids handling them but even less so due to Athlon's amazing warranty. Give em a try. Especially for a first pair.

    Great for the price

    So far, I’ve been impressed with the glass quality and how clear the binos are. I do with it came with a check rib type pouch instead of the shoulder strap. Lastly I had the center with branding and info fall off. Appears the glue didn’t hold, easy fix. Still recommend these.

    Excellent binoculars. I've got a few years on them at this point, and they're my favorite by a long shot. Have compared them to som mid-range Tasco and Bushnell as well as some higher-end Vortex binoculars, and these are the best. I even had a friend with Vortex binoculars (don't remember the model, but far more expensive than these) who sold them and bought these after using them. 100% recommend.

    Awesome for Birding

    These are excellent quality! Durable and crystal clear. I’ve used the Nikon Trailblazers for years as a beginner birder and wanted an upgrade. Took these out on a birding trip in Florida and they were easy to use, fit well in my small hands, and have beautiful clarity. They also arrived very quickly. I will definitely consider trying out more products from Athlon in the future!

    Big bang for the buck!

    I bought these binos for my son to use. We have a similar pair of Vortex binos of a similar cost. When compared side by side, I am blown away by the clarity and detail in these binos. For the price, I wasn't expecting what I received. I am confident others will have similar experiences. These are the perfect option for beginners, or those trying to get some good binos on a budget. You won't regret it.
