The worst laptop I’ve ever had
I bought this laptop back in July 2025, but no less than 2 months out of the box and it started irregularly dropping in frame rate. It would also be accompanied by audio crackling and my CPU was running 95-96C in temps whenever gaming in balanced mode. I wasn’t playing anything very intense: Genshin, HSR, ZZZ, and visual novels for goodness sake. But whenever I entered a game, it became virtually unplayable because the stuttering was so bad. There would also be some weird sounds coming from inside the laptop (see videos). Sometimes, the screen would even glitch when just pressing the windows key. After trying all of the fixes out on the Internet (including ASUS’s), updating drivers and BIOS, resets, etc. I contacted ASUS support multiple times and they told me the same things I already tried. I asked if I could get a replacement, but they said they don’t offer replacements for this device. I couldn’t send it in for repairs because I need it for college and they won’t send me a replacement even though it’s only 2 months old… So I take it to a local repair store to get it diagnosed in case it was something as simple as reapplying liquid metal, and turns out the GPU and CPU are failing. Luckily it still runs the programs I need for my classes okay…for now. But since it’s still under warranty until July 2026, I need to pray to the gods that the second I don’t need this laptop for my college program, I can send it in for repairs and hopefully they can fix this faulty thing. SO PLEASE!!! Save yourself the trouble and buy a different laptop from a different company. This one will waste your money and your time and give you a constant stream of headaches and anxiety like it did to me.

Sending it back because of the battery
I now have to send this back to you guys because the battery barely last one hour while the laptop is 100% charged and not even being used and is in idle mode. When I received the laptop, it did not go on when I press the power button so I charged him. After a couple minutes, I tried pressing it again and it went on and then it said 100% charged. I found that to be very strange but now it makes sense considering the battery doesn’t even last an hour. And that is an item mode not even surfing the Internet or playing a game.

Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for your comment. We certainly understand your concern regarding the short battery charge life. This laptop battery life is approximately 7 hours of medium to light workload. In order to improve or prolong the battery charged time, please try to do a battery calibration manually. To start with, please drain it completely then charge it fully without using the system. Once fully-charged, please use the laptop, without the AC adapter connected, and drain let the battery drain completely again. Please repeat the charging process thereafter. Addiditonally, check if this laptop is running with the most current system update(Windows, drivers, OS, applications and games) and third-party battery draining applications are not running if not in used. Updates for this laptop are posted at: https://rog.asus.com/us/laptops/rog-strix/rog-strix-g16-2024/helpdesk_download/ . If you need further assistance, please email me at cl-rodel@asus.com and I would be more than glad to help. Or, you are most welcome to call Product Support Hotline at: 1(888) 678-3688. Smooth Operator
I love this laptop gorgeous design. Runs all my games on max settings. Does not overheat. Barely even sounds like it has to work hard to do it. Love the touchpad with the number key alt feature built right into it. Very quiet. The display is crisp and clear and displays every detail with clarity. Does not strain my eyes at all with long gaming sessions. I am really enjoying the windows 11 operating system. The system memory is enough for what I need but if that changes it is easy to upgrade. Comes with manufacturer warranty.

Happy with product....upset with ordering process.
Great product ....ordering was a little complicated. Could have sped up buying time by offering a more streamlined interface showcasing options. Maybe more of a build it as you go type option. For instance. I wanted the volt green option. However no where along the way was I given any option nor informed if that option was no longer available. However it does show on advertising? So ???? I wish I could have got the volt green 💚 😕

Fast & Affordable
This computer is so fast. It is my first I9. I decided to splurge this laptop go around and I don't regret it. The price for such an advanced laptop that is certified ROG is a bargain. Definitely five stars and highly recommended.
