Contemporary Anglophone mission historiography has often overlooked Anglican missionary endeavours during this period, instead privileging the activism of Evangelical missions. Rowan Strong, Emeritus Professor of Church History, Murdoch University, and Professor of Church History, Wollaston Theological College, University of Divinity, Australia, has published extensively on Anglicanism and the British Empire, including Victorian Christianity & Emigrant Voyages to British Colonies c.1840-c.1914 (2017).
