A: The Amope concept works well when it works. I’m on my third Amope and it is doing the same as the last two. It keeps stopping. I follow all the instructions from the manufacturer, don’t push too hard, etc. It seems to be the switch. It keeps stopping, push the switch, it goes a little longer and stops, push the switch again, on and on until it fails to respond at all. At $25+ it is too expensive to keep replacing. Look on Amazon and you will find plenty of other sanding-type tools for much less. Then you won’t feel so bad if they have the same track record as Amope.

To install batteries in the Amopé Pedi Perfect, you need to unscrew the bottom cap counter-clockwise, remove the plastic insulator tab, insert the 4 AA batteries (observing polarity), replace the base, and screw it back on clockwise until it snaps or secures. The trick is often using your thumb to push up on the bottom while twisting to get the cap off.

Insert 4 new AA batteries in the directions indicated on the unit. • Place the negative/flat side of the battery against the spring. • The positive/dimpled side of the battery will go against the flat or dimpled plate on the battery compartment. • Always stack batteries on the same side, in the same direction 4.
