It’s wonderfully lightweight, surprisingly non-stick, and the wood handle feels so comfortable in the hand — like it was actually designed by someone who cooks. But here’s the catch: this pan is temperamental. You basically have to treat it like a delicate little diva on the stove. If the heat isn’t set to very low, it will scorch your food in seconds. Even on just medium low heat, my grilled cheese got a little more toasty than I prefer. The flip side to that, though, is the heat distribution was even, so at least it burned evenly. Once you adjust to its overly sensitive personality, it can turn out some great results — but there’s definitely a learning curve. Perfect if you want something light and stylish… just be ready to cook low and slow.

I decided to get rid of my "non-stick" pans due to the toxins. I found Alva after researching safe, nontoxic pans and I am so happy with my purchase.

I purchased the 9.5" Forest fry pan after doing some intense research on the company and the products. This fry pan is like nothing I have cooked with before. It feels and cooks like cast iron, but without the bulk and unwieldly weight. The surface is amazing (and safe). I use an induction cooktop and have used the pan on lower heat for fluffy eggs, medium heat for stir fried vegies and have seared steaks on high heat to perfection. Nothing sticks and the cleanup is as easy as wiping with a bit of hot water. I am saving up some money to purchase the 8" and 11" pans!

These are excellent pans so far, having used them 3 times. I will need to see how they hold up over the next year with regular maintenance (seasoning, cleaning properly, etc.). Right now, I am a very satisfied customer and am pleased with my purchase and the price. I really like the wood handles - keeps the grip cool during cooking and looks nice, though I would not use them in the oven due to the wood.

So far I am loving these pans. My only slight disappointment is the handles did not match in color. Otherwise they cook well I am not having any sticking issue. Very nice pans! I love that your pans are 3rd party verified too, we are trying our best to be more health conscientious.

Straight out of the box, Washed it 1st, heated it up, used a very scant tsp butter, and a 3 egg omelet slid around, no sticking at all. Next day, 3 whole eggs, same amt of butter, same result. Have used it a couple more times for dinner meals. It is in the front line in my kitchen now for stove top. I’m familiar with how to use carbon steel cookware but this is my 1st blue CS. I really (really) like it. The wooden handle stays cool, cleans up in a flash. I oil it a little bit after each use. Will stove top season soon. If it keeps up the good work, this one will be handed down. If you enjoy the sport of cooking with this type of pan, you’ll really like this one☺️

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the frying pan two times already. I made my homemade Alfredo pasta and I have sautéed some chicken and vegetables. It’s definitely nonstick. I have an electric stove and it didn’t burn and because of the nonstick, the clean up was super easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pan. Definitely non stick. Cooked some steak and accidentally burned one of them and the burnt parts did not stick to the pan. Was able to wash the pan easily without having to scrub hard. Perfect size as well and the handle is a good size.
