New formula is awful, dry, clumpy
They changed the formula and it's absolutely terrible now. Dry, clumpy, new brush design. I've been using Almay mascara for 20 years and I'm so disappointed they did this. I've tried 3 of their new line, and all 3 were awful. The real one is fine for about a week and then if dries up. The purple and blue both came dried up and clumpy. I'm shocked this is even on the shelves compared to their previous, AMAZING mascara versions that came before. Unfortunately they don't sell the old formula, so now I have to find a new brand. I wasted a lot of money learning this lesson, hopefully this review saves you from wasting your money.

Adds fullness without clumps

I really miss the old formula and brush. This formula requires twice as much, the brush is large, and it doesn’t have the staying power the old formula had. I’m so disappointed!

I have been wearing Almay mascara for so many years I can't count. The new formula (or applicator wand) or both - are complete trash. It goes on too thick and clumpy. And, along with the new package and formula came a new higher price. Interesting to see so many reviews from influenster - Almay seems to be working hard to cover up the bad reviews (from actual people) with good reviews (from "influencers") by giving away free product... most of the good reviews = free product. Most of the bad reviews = paying customers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a free sample of this Almay Thickening & Tint Mascara from Influenster and Almay in exchange for my honest review. I thought this worked well as a tint to have a natural look on the eyelashes. My eyelashes are very light blond and this did darken them without adding a thick coating of product as for the thickening claim, I'm not sure if it thickened the lashes too much, but If got apply several coats it begins to thicken up. I like the hypoallergenic aspect of Almay and feel this is a gentle product that caused no eye irritation which is always nice.
