A: Hello, Swiveling the seat is what adjusts the seat height up and down. We recommend that once the desired height is reached you lock the seat with the locking mechanism for added stability.

A: Hello Em, The seat does swivel but this action is what adjusts the seat height. We recommend that once you have reached the desired height you want on the stool you lock it in place with the swivel lock bar on the stool. This make the seat and stool sturdier.

They look great in my kitchen. Glad I read the other reviews since they don't look green at all. They shipped quickly & arrived in perfect condition. My husband put them together in no time & said they should last a long time because they are well built & sturdy. Only complaint is he said they were cold in the morning, but it's been getting down to -6 here at night! We did add felt pads to the feet just to be sure our floor doesn't get scratched.

Perfect for outdoor bar
These are exactly what we were looking for and we were lucky enough to get them on sale! It's the same stool found on other websites for a lot more. Yes they do swivel, are very adjustable, we have the foot rest set at different heights for different people. My 6'2" husband can adjust the stool to be just as comfortable as our 5'2 daughter sitting at the same bar height outdoor table! Loved then so much we bought more so 8 completes our set!

we were so excited when we found these stools! However, the metals were different on the pieces and did not match when assembled. they were heavy and probably could have been powder coated to match. i did not want to spend the extra money to see if that would make them better. we ended up returning them.

Sturdy stool. Nice design.
The stool is a nice homage to the old tractor seats of our youth. The finish is not exactly like the photo. It's more of a simulated rust color. Not a bad look. I expected it to be more of a gunmetal. It goes well with our decor. Sturdy as well. I wasn't sure how the footrest would be, but it holds weight fine.
