[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Acer Nitro 5 Amd Ryzen 5 5000 Series is a good Beginner/Intermediate Gamer Laptop. This Gamer Laptop is nice and fast for everyday simple browsing and easy gaming games in this area no problems lighting fast. AMD Ryzen 5 5600h processor very happy in that area how smooth it runs. When you go further in your gaming games Roblox is still very super fast and graphics are amazing and no lagging. Bigger games require bigger power which the Acer Nitro 5 holds its grounds and does great and graphics still hold up strong NVIDA GeForce RTX e060 with 6GB GDDR6 Dedicated VRam Battery life in the harder games is still about 3 to 4 hrs of battery life. Nitro 5 has different color option for backlight lights up nicely and the keyboard is still the simple main gamers starter keyboard. This gamer laptop is great and easy to customize and upgrade. The ventilation and cooling fans are still loud but it gets the job done and the weight of the laptop isn't actually as heavy as I thought it would be and is easy to travel around with, Medium size in thickness also. I think the Volume in this laptop could be more better I think its very weak in that area. I like how the charger is in the back so the cables stay out of your way. Battery is big but it is a gamers laptop 57Wh, I don't like how when I am away from my laptop how long it takes to open my screen sometimes it took to long and I had to restart my computer. There's no touch screen but you can do a side by side screen and do multi screens easily. No Optical Drive but is bluetooth v5. Has 2 Slots for RAM, 2 SSD Slots, WiFi V6, Webcam 720p, USB-A 3.2, USB Type- C 1x HDMI 2.0, No SD card reader, Audio Jack is on left side. Has Numpad, Backlight, Touchpad precision, Does have Ethernet port. Overall good quality holds up for your gaming needs and is very good for the value, I like the Ryzen 5 5000 Series Nitro 5.

The red backlight makes the keys really easy to see and the keys are easy to press. My only complaint is that sometimes, when it goes into sleep mode, it wont wake back up. The keys will light up, but the screen remains black. I'm hoping an update will fix this soon!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a fast multi task laptop for gaming and work. This surprising gaming laptop packs alot in one small box. The 15.6-inch 144Hz screen is great for gaming and watching movies without worrying of screen flickering or constant screen refresh. The 8gb memory is good for gaming, everyday work and downloading some applications. Note this laptop does not have a CD/DVD rom drive. But you can connect a external drive with no issue! Comes with latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti for excellent graphics and game playing. Has the latest Windows 11 for doing regular activities like writing documents or doing work that requires Software download. Laptop is loaded with NitroSense, a app to help you control the speed of the fans and lights in the keyboard. When you start the laptop for the first time and update Microsoft software, the NitroSense app will become disabled, so the app can work again, first delete the app and and download again the Nitrosense and install whole package. Restart computer and it will work again. Works great with online games, please note that some games will require more memory then the included 8gb, so you will require a HDD memory upgrade. Box comes included with HDD upgrade cable and HDD can be purchased at Acer. Screen is 1080 pixels and looks very clear when playing, but screen does not get that bright. Looks rather dim sometimes. Also it comes with a Battery saving mode, if you want to reduce battery drainage while using the laptop. Good to use this feature, because while playing League of Legends, battery reduced to 60% in 40 minutes on a full battery charge. Acer laptop battery runs for about 6 hours and 20 minutes on a single charge. Keyboard setup is easy to use, buttons are big and the light up keyboard is a great fun feature, which I enjoy especially when playing in the dark! A gaming mouse is definitely recommended for better game playing and work. I use a mouse with this device and works great! You can also attach a Wireless gaming control with no issue with the included Bluetooth software. Laptop seems a bit heavy at 5 pounds and screen a bit flimsy, but it was meant to be on a flat service more then playing with it on a bus or train. Speakers are good quality, not the best sound in the world, but does its job, you can hear the characters speak loud and clear in games, like in Final Fantasy and Apex Legends. I recommend headphones, you can actually hear the sound difference. Sounds very good and way better! Has plenty of ports on both sides, accept the back of the laptop, where you connect the charger. The ports available are the latest USB 3.2 Type C, another USB 3.2 Gen 2 (with power off charging), two USB 3.2, one HDMI 2.0, and an Ethernet port. Has a Webcam for online chats or projects. Webcam Pictures and video are clear but seem grainy at times. But works well. In the end, this is a great gaming and work laptop, has all the latest software and upgrades without breaking the bank. Definitely recommend and I get excited everyday to get back to my Online games!

The 8 GB memory works really well as far as browsing online, as I'm a person who tends to keep tens of tabs open at once. Memory is robust enough for my type of browsing. The laptop's fan is pretty quiet as well. It gets a bit louder when using a program that uses more memory, but nothing terribly disruptive. The display's colors look sharp and the images are crisp. The speakers are not quite the best and the volume doesn't get very loud. External speakers would enhance the sound well. I like the backlit keyboard - nice and large keys make typing easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m always looking for a laptop that will double as my work and personal laptop so I was looking forward to trying this one out. To start off the set up was easy but too lengthy in my opinion. The backlit keyboard is great for working in low lit spaces. The screen is the perfect size for me to stream and watch videos, and the visuals are good. The fan is on the sides of the machine and while it runs smoothly but you can definitely hear it, it’s not a quiet fan by any means. The battery could be improved as it runs out quickly. In terms of performance, I multi task A LOT, often have countless tabs open, working on multiple things or working while streaming video, and so far it does a nice job at handling that. It’s fast which is a major plus for me.

I like that there’s NitroSense application that can maximize the cooling down if the laptop is overheated. Until now I didn’t even hear a sound, it is very very silent. So fast and sensitive the touchpad. The board lights up with red light and it makes the game more enjoyable. I love the customized tabs so you can play with both hands. It has a great screen, great graphics and fast processor. It also have a efficient cooling system which is really important for me as I play very long hours.Talking about performance, there is a lot to talk about. It came standard 8 Gb but I upgraded to 64 which is the max this computer can support. I also added another 1Tb of M2 SSD drive. Basically this computer is a good starter company and overtime you can add and upgrade and keep it up to speed. It comes with bare bones and you could just upgrade it which is so amazing. They made enough space for upgrades which makes this computer the king of budget computer in my opinion. Video card is pretty good . Can play games in a good resolution. The battery life is pretty good too. The laptop is very functional. The keyboard feels nice and very comfortable to play games for long hours. There are enough ports for peripherals. Even if I play 6 hours straight, It doesn't get heated up or shutdown which makes me so happy. Overall, I am really impressed with this computer. I highly reccomend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Review of Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45-R6XD Gaming Laptop Specifications Display: 15.6" 144Hz FHD CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Memory: 8GB DDR4 RAM Storage: 512GB NVMe SSD Operating System: Windows 11 (after upgrade) Out of the Box Experience The laptop arrived packed in extra thick foam padding, with an interior cloth bag. The unit was in mint new condition. There was a second box inside the main box that contained the power supply. The main box also included a brief owners guide, and some gaming stickers. Set up only had one hiccup - the power light did not appear when the power plug was first plugged in, and only worked after numerous attempts at reconnecting. In later testing, the power light also did not work until the power plug was disconnected and reconnected a couple of times. The laptop was able to fully charge and the battery showed 100% after we left it charging overnight. The battery life indicator said the charge was good for about three hours, but the display wasn't quite as bright on battery, so we kept the charger plugged in during gameplay. After booting up the first time, we patiently waited for all of the Windows updates that were waiting, to make sure all of the security updates were in place before installing any games. There was also a free Windows 11 upgrade, which we downloaded overnight. The keyboard has some nice color accents to show important keys for gamers (WASD) and the backlighting looks good at night. Gaming Experience We installed Steam and then downloaded a popular game called "Forza 4", which went quickly with the high-speed Wi-Fi, at about 60MB per second. Starting Forza 4, there was a warning about not meeting the minimum requirements, but we pressed on ahead and ran the "Benchmark Mode", which showed that the Nvidia RTX 3060 was powerful enough to show good-looking graphics at about 36 frames per second, which is fine for our young gamer to enjoy this game. The audio was loud enough so that external speakers are not necessary - much better sound than we get from games on a tablet or a phone. The 15.6" display provides a more immersive experience than playing on a tablet or a phone, which our young gamer is thoroughly enjoying as we write this review. Summary Overall we are quite pleased with the Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop. We are having lots of fun downloading games and enjoying the "PC Gamer" experience. Recommended.
