Not Effective
I love A&D ointment for preventing diaper rash so I thought I should give this a try. It is not effective at all. It has dimethicone in it so it doesn’t actually stick to the skin surface like a normal diaper rash zinc oxide paste and slides off immediately, making your baby more likely to get a rash as there is not a good barrier to do any healing or protecting. This actually caused my baby to get a rash when I switched to this during an episode of diarrhea, thinking it would be stronger protection than the normal A & D ointment. Unfortunately for my baby, I was wrong.

This has helped my baby boy so much! A little goes a long way and heals my baby’s red bottom up fast. It’s very creamy & no fragrance for irritations. I also love the tube it comes in, so it’s easy to roll up & get all the product out for your moneys worth! I definitely recommend A+D to all my mommy friends!

Very very good. I had babies once soon a time ago and I lived for this product. It’s very healing for a chaffed babies bottom. Glides on and over the years the recipe has actually improved in my opinion.

Great product for when babies get a bad diaper rash. As a mom of 3 I can tell you A+D is my go to brand and it’s affordable. It doesn’t smell the best in my opinion but it works great!

My child has very sensitive skin. We previously used a diaper rash cream from another country, but it isn’t available for purchase here anymore. This is the only option we’ve found that is anything close to that same quality. It has not caused any sensitivity issues for my child and does work well for healing a diaper rash with proper treatment (frequent changes, patting dry, adding the cream, etc.). This cream was recommended to us by a pediatrician. I feel grateful we found an option that works for us! Each child’s skin is unique so there is always the possibility that it won’t work well for your family, but I recommend trying it if you’re looking for an effective diaper rash cream.
