A: Hi Elizabeth! The 7 Qt. Storage Bin is made of Polypropylene plastic, and was designed for general household use. Sterilite only uses high quality FDA food safe grade plastics that are non-toxic. These plastics do not contain PVC's, Latex, Teflon, Phthalates chemicals, fungicides, Bisphenol A (BPA), or antibacterial chemicals. Nor do we use them in the manufacturing process of our items. Clear visibility, very secure with latches and still reasonably secure if the latches aren't closed, a host of sizes and secure stacking are a few of the pluses for me. Also, the $4 one will accommodate standard print paper and also just fit a hanging file folder with the metal top piece. I'm switching from my file cabinets to these (and have bought quite a few) as they hold more than standard hanging holders and can more easily and securely contain different types of paper together and can be used for such a variety of objects. The variety of sizes is another plus as their visual similarity gives an organized and calm impression belying the chaos lurking inside...

I'm using this bin to store cleaning supplies (cloths, folded-over mop pads, backup filters for the vacuum, duster wand). It's a great size for sliding on and off a shelf, and I appreciate the latching mechanism for the lid. I also like the tiny touch of personality from the latch color. Even basic containers are often ridiculously expensive, but this price was outstanding. Very satisfied.

Bad customer service
The product is fine. Target's customer service is very poor. 3 bins arrived with no lids. I put in a "fix an issue", and recieved no response for over a week. I called customer service and they said I could return them. I told them that was inconvenient and they final said they would send a replacement and they sent too few. I give up.
