Like everyone else said, toxic smell! I bought the one that has been sitting as their display since they set up for Christmas and I had hope that the smell would go away, no. It made me have a headache and you’re breathing bad stuff! So it’s best to not buy it. Trust these reviews!!!

Absolutely LOVE this tree!! No chemical smell I could detect but dos have a bronze spray type material coming off the branches- possibly sprayed to give the tree a more natural look. Everytime I look at this beautiful tree it makes my heart & soul so happy! My mom even wants one she's equally in love. It's so classic, retro... so unlike any other basic tree out there. Put it on sale so I can buy my mom one!

Do not buy any of these trees!! Whatever tree lamps come with them, Target staff does not know if they have replacements or Target never carries replacements. So after you use up your 5 replacement lamps, you are on your own and are stuck with a poorly light Xmas tree. Target does not care about you after that, they are happy to sell you these pre-lit Christmas trees but then have no support when your lamps die out and you have no more packaged replacements.

Do you like Chemical Smells?
DO NOT buy this tree as it emits a chemical odour that will make you have a headache and irritate your eyes. Other customers have written reviews giving the same experience. Target should have listened to customers, issued a recall and took these off the shelf. I chatted with Target customer service (50 minutes), corporate 3x and the store with no remedy other than drive an hour and forty five minutes to the nearest Target to receive a refund with no option of an exchange as 8 locations have no trees. What a disappointment for the lack of concern from Target.

OMG toxic fumes? Believe the reviews.
I ignored the reviews about the smell, because I just wanted a tree and be done with it. Oh my god!!!! We put it up last night, and my entire house smells like toxic gas and wet teenage boy shoes slowly melting in the oven. I am waiting for a tall person to come home and get it out of here. For now, I gave my patio door open. It is only December 9, you should have all the window open, right? It is still rancid in here and my cat is locked in the bedroom with me, because we are not doing well with the off gassing. To the other reviews, I am sorry that I did not believe you.

Amazing Christmas Tree
The first time this Christmas tree caught my eye was last year. I instantly fell in love with its retro-style lights and how much more natural it looked compared to other artificial trees. But since the price was on the higher side, I decided to stick with the small tree I already had at home. Then this year (2025), I saw the exact same tree beautifully decorated with ornaments at Target, and I just couldn’t resist it anymore. It’s no secret that Target usually marks down their Christmas items early in November. I’ve known this since a couple of years ago, so I’ve been picking up small décor pieces during clearance or early sales at great prices. Even though this tree was still a bit over my original budget, I was able to get it for almost half the price—and I also grabbed a big candy-shaped ornament that looked just like the one they used in their in-store display. This time, I really wanted to try a more retro-inspired Christmas look. It doesn’t match perfectly with all of my existing ornaments, but I decorated it in my own way, and I absolutely love how it turned out. This tree is truly a game-changing piece for me. The quality is amazing for the price, it’s pre-lit (which saves me from buying extra lights—those can be surprisingly pricey!), and it comes in three parts that automatically fan out when you put them together. It does require a little fluffing here and there, and the top section doesn’t open up on its own, but it’s a small effort for such a beautiful result. Out of everything I bought for Christmas this year, this tree is definitely my best

Strong chemical odor
Nice tree but chemical smell is insane! The tree is so cute and the lights are nice the size is nice but the chemical smell is so strong! I hope it goes away
