Q: In one of the answers stated can be washed in a standard washing machine. But instructions on packaging say commercial? Has anyone tried washing it at home?? I’m not sure I want to keep it now.

Way too small for a king

Purchased a king and it didn’t even cover the top of the mattress. Not sure it would have been suitable for a queen. Unfortunately I washed it so I can’t return it. Don’t make the same expense mistake I did.

Lived the comforter but with 2 babies i had to wash it. It left terrible water stains and changed the color of the comforter vs the shams. It now has awful wash and wear, and a fuzzy layer all over it.

Luxury at a bargain price

Luxury at a bargain price. It’s the perfect year round weight, so soft, washes and dries beautifully. It does wrinkle if you overpack your dryer, I take it out while still damp and lay it on the bed to remove all wrinkles-easily solved. The color is so rich and sexy. Love it so much I bought a second for a backup when this one shows its age.

Oily Stains during first wash

I really want to love this comforter. The material feels great and looks great out of the bag. Unfortunately, it stained immediately. I washed it before use, and I came out with oily looking stains. I have since read reviews saying the same thing. I have tried a lot to get them out, but no luck.

Smelly and pretty!

I thought I was going to return it bc the smell was so strong. It reminded me old milk, gross! After the first wash the smell was gone but there were black rings / discoloration so I washed it again. Then it was perfect! I love the feel of it. I love the wine color too. I’d buy again but hesitate bc of the smell and discoloration.

Lasting Chemical smell

I like the size of this comforter as well as how soft it is, and the filling seemed great. However, when I opened it, it had a very strong petroleum – like smell. I figured it would go away when I washed it, but somehow washing it made the smell intensify. Sadly, I am returning it due to the smell.

Beautiful color. horrible durability. after one wash the pillows shams especially started becoming discolored and shedding. I even got a lint shaver which didn't help at all. I've only had it for a few months and I'm already going to have to replace it. what a bummer

Will not go back to other comforters

My favorite comforter I’ve ever purchased. This is so soft, comfortable and doesn’t overheat me. The thickness , material and texture is perfect. It’s not bulky and awkward to wash or lay with. It’s quite perfect to be honest. It gives a nice cooling feeling, while keeping you warm at the same time. I personally dislike bulky comforters. So, this one being on the thinner side, makes it ideal for me. I’m also a night sweater, and this hasn’t made my sweating any worse. It’s very easy to wash as well. It dries nice and evenly. Love the color options. I went with the dark gray because it will go with all of my more seasonal colors. It’s great quality.
