A: If it’s what I think it is they are for protecting from scratches if pans are stacked.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas, in part because of its high rating in Consumer Reports. Lid exploded/shattered while simmrring a pot of chili the first time we used it. Other reviews mention the glass lid exploding; I should have listened to them. Target needs to recall these.

Finally arrived, but very damaged/warped. It was like all of the pieces were thrown into a box with no care. They did not come in individual boxes/wrapping like I thought it would to care for the items. Better to go to the store to pickup than to ship.

We were due for some new pots and pans, our old Rachel Ray non-stick were scratched up from years of use and not caring for them as well as we should have. I was a bit worried after reading previous reviews, regarding dented lids during delivery and lids that cracked during cooking, as well as the longevity and scratching of the pots/pans. I received my order last night, it was delivered upside down and looked like the box had been opened. All the parts were accounted for and there were no dents in any lids. I used the 10 inch pan this morning to make pancakes and the non-stick is amazing and it cooked/worked so well! I am excited to use the other pots/pans, they are huge and have some good weight to them! Another reviewer said the 5 qt saute pan was too big for their stove, but it fits in my largest burner perfectly. I also purchased the figment silicone cooking utensils set so I don't damage the non-stick on these pans, and extend their life! Can't wait to cook lots of meals with my new pans!

proceed with caution
i’ve had this pan set for about a year and LOVED it during that time, and have even bought other figment products since then. however, tonight one of the lids exploded while cooking causing glass to go everywhere. thankfully, none got into anybody’s eye, but there were a couple of pieces stuck in skin. obviously this is a huge safety concern

Worth the investment.
I love these pots and pans. They are great quality and unless you burn your food, they really are non-stick. I rarely have to cook with oil anymore. I have not had an issue with the color chipping or burn marks on the bottom from the gas stove. They still look beautiful.
