A: Thank you for your questions. We do not recommend the use of rechargeable batteries as they can have very high short circuit currents which can overload the wires. The internal resistance of alkaline batteries is much higher, and so the short circuit current is limited to very low levels. In addition, rechargeable batteries operate at lower rated voltages, which may cause the product not to operate as intended, and provide reduced operating time.
