A: You can select "quick cooking" by pressing "menu" prior to pressing "Cooking" which should cook your rice quicker. However, depends on the type of rice you are cooking as well, like brown rice.

Power cord is missing - obviously already opened.
This item was obviously already opened, which wouldn't have been so bad except that the power cord was missing. Now i can't turn it on. Target won't send a replacement power cord, so I have to return the whole thing. Guess this must be why the item was on sale - dishonest on the part of target to hide the face they send it with missing parts.

Takes forever to cook
I’m surprised to see such high ratings. I just donated this product after trying to like it for several years. It takes FOREVER to cook brown rice, even on “mixed” setting. Always waiting for the rice. Why was this cooker so expensive? Also, never could figure out the display! Would show nothing on screen until 15 minutes left to go, then had a countdown. So always had me guessing how long the cook time was.

Worth the money
Easy to use, not overly large, nice handle at the top to store away when cooled off and not using, quick to clean and wipe down. Rice cooks consistently and the keep warm feature is such a gem. You shouldn’t really wash your rice in the included pot but tbh I’m lazy and do it in the cooking pot every time. It’s lasted years so far.

The lid gets grimey, hard to clean
Pros: 1.Makes rice perfectly. 2. Pre-set timers means rice is ready when you need it. If you get it in there 2 hours before you need it. Cons: 1. We eat hrown rice. This cooker takes twice as long to cook as my basic, no-frills cooker. 2. The deal breaker is it's a pain to clean the top lid. The pot is very easy to clean, and the part of the lid that pops out is easy to clean, too. But, the part of the top behind that, the open/shut lid, get grimey too. And it is screwed in place, so it can only be cleaned with a rag. A complete nuisance. I think this is a design flaw with this model. Now this beautiful expensive cooker sits unused.

I had a few cheap rice cookers in the past. They never lasted long and would burn or unevenly cook the rice. I have made white rice, jasmine rice, and brown rice. It has been perfect every time. Plus I like the songs when it starts and stops cooking.

Great Rice Cooker
I bought this rice cooker as a replacement for a inexpensize boil style cooker after looking at a lot of reviews on YouTube. The rice cooker is easy to use and the rice always comes out evenly cooked and fluffy. No hard lumps, no soggy areas - perfect. I've had the cooker for about two months now and it's easy to clean. The only thing that is worth noting is to be careful of trying to fluff the rice with the pot inside the rice cooker - as the pot can spin causing the bottom outside of the pot to get scuffed. This can be avoided by using an ovenmitt to hold the rice pot in place while fluffing the rice. Really love this cooker!

Best rice cooker on the market!
This is probably the best kitchen appliance I’ve ever purchased. I had to get rid of my Instant Pot recently due to it not working, but I realized all I ever made with it was rice so I opted to get a rice cooker. I wasn’t even planning on it (typical Target). And what a legendary find! It makes perfect rice every single time, is so easy to use a child could do it (but I still advise reading the instruction manual to get the full breadth of this thing’s capabilities). I am pretty good at eyeballing measurements so I have a good grasp on that but this little baby does it all for you! If you are living alone or living nomadically, I advise you add this to your kitchen appliance arsenal. It takes up so little space and is easy to clean and transport!
