immunity
Now that I’m in my 40s, I’m paying more attention to vitamins and supplements and so forth. Also, I figured it can’t hurt to take a little bit of zinc each day to keep from getting sick and keep my immunity up. Plus, you only have to take one of these small pills per day, which is a plus

Only 7 mg elemental zinc
A bunch of reviewers are under the impression that this is 50 mg of elemental zinc. This is 50 mg of zinc gluconate, which is only about 7 mg of elemental zinc. This is a safe amount and shouldn't lead to copper deficiency, but obviously reconsider if you feel sick after taking it.

Immediate Projectile Voms.
I stupidly did research on the pros of adding zinc supplements when dealing with PCOS, then checked if there were drug interactions with my current meds, but didn't really look into side effects and dosage. I took just one on an empty stomach for better absorption, went about my morning, started drive to work, and immediately had to turn around - thinking I was gonna lose what little breakfast I had barely gotten to munch on as I drove. Second day, thought nothing of it and had it again in the morning but this time didn't have breakfast because I was running late. Almost projectile upchucked before I even left my house. It took 3 mornings of severe nausea and vomiting for me to put two and two together, finally researched it and lo and behold, the max dosage people should have is really only about 40mg daily, (this one is 50) and it shouldn't be taken on an empty stomach because it is irritating to the stomach lining. The horrible nausea and everything else are all side effects from zinc toxicity. Spoke to my PCP who confirmed and told me to stop immediately. The only thing I'm angry at is myself and I wouldn't recommend taking a zinc supplement to my worst enemy.

Dont buy this.
Apparently way over the recommended dosage. I’ve felt off for days, headaches and weird cramps. Didn’t realize it was just the zinc. Just avoid it. Honestly it’s criminal for their dosage to be this high.

WAY too much mg for daily use!
WAY too high dosage for daily use. Recommended is 8mg for women. This is FIFTY. I was wondering why I threw up after taking it the other day until it happened to my sister too. Not sure why they would be selling 50mg for daily use!!

"Other" Ingredients Are Pure Garbage
Waste of money because of poor, unnecessary ingredients like propylene glycol. Should’ve read the label before buying!

Excellent Product
Works great. Just like anything it will have side effects if you don't do your research and make sure you're taking the correct dose and the right time and whether or not you actually need to take it.

Avoid
It turns out we really shouldn’t take this much zinc. I was hoping it was being sold cause it was the correct dosage (nothing over 40). Nope. It makes me nauseous and ill. I’m pretty sure it wrecked my copper levels, so now I’m iron deficient with pains.

Zinc poisoning
Caused extreme nausea, stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhea. The worst I’ve ever felt. Not sure why it works for some and not others but something is not right.

Not sure if they're helping, but I'd like to believe they are
I am not too sure if these actually help my immune system but I’d like to believe that they actually do. They are a small and easy pill to take so I don’t mind adding it to my routine when I start to feel run down.

Awful strong smelll
It has an awful smell to it the bottle had such a bad smell I tried to let it air out for a week & it just did not go away. No medication bottle should have a scent to it. It was so strong too.

Dont use this
The recommended dose is more than the recommended amount of zinc you should consume in a day. It made me super sick, couldn’t stop throwing up, I finally went to the doctor and found out I had zinc poisoning due to the dosage.

Nausea and vomiting!
I guess shame on me for not doing research to discover that 50 mg of zinc is way too much. I had an issue recently after taking zinc. It gave me some stomach pains that lasted half a day. I didn’t associate it with that. But today I took it again and had bad nausea and vomiting. Finally figured out it’s because I took this supplement.

Not the best
I bought these to try and help with my acne. They didn’t work. I fact I was experiencing very bad stomach aches and couldn’t figure out why, until I learned that the dosage in these is more than you should be taking. I had to stop taking them cause they were doing more harm than good to my body.
