About the Author
Jon Klassen is the creator of the #1 New York Times best-selling I Want My Hat Back, which won a Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor, and its companions This Is Not My Hat, which won a Caldecott Medal and a Kate Greenaway Medal, and We Found a Hat, named a Publishers Weekly Best Children's Book of the Year. He is also the author and illustrator of The Rock from the Sky and The Skull as well as the illustrator of Extra Yarn, Sam and Dave Dig a Hole, Triangle, Square, and Circle, all by Mac Barnett. Originally from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Jon Klassen now lives in Los Angeles.

Delightful
The classic simplicity of Jon Klassen children's book illustrations and sparse text is especially suitable for the very young child. Klassen's illustrations traditionally feature wide-open eyes that peer from various and often unexpected places. In these three board books about farm, forest, and island, which are not your typical locations a young child encounters, but they give place to learning and soaring imagination. Each book has gentle rhyming text suitable for read aloud and which focuses on comfort and being safe. Gentle assurances and guidance with those crazy bold eyes bring lots of good to the treasure these little books are. Also, the set can be safely esconced in their own little "home" - the book sleeve - further teaching little ones the care of their posessions.
