Description
Maximize your mowing power with the Worx Nitro 40V Brushless 21” Cordless Self-Propelled Mower. Engineered for optimal performance, this battery-powered mower supports expansive mowing applications and delivers pro-grade cutting results—all without the need for gas and its high costs and maintenance needs. You never have to waste your energy pushing the mower, since you can use the self-propel paddle triggers to activate rear-wheel drive and move the lawn mower forward with ease. Adjust the variable speed control settings to set the pace that’s most comfortable for you. Whether you’re maintaining a manicured lawn or slicing through dense overgrowth, you can rely on 21” metal deck to enhance performance and durability. The High-Efficiency Brushless Motor maximizes the mowing experience by producing a 50% longer run time, 25% more power, and 10X longer life than standard brushed motors. IntelliCut smart technology also supports the motor to automatically adjust the mowing power to the grass conditions. For example, it will increase speed to maintain smooth cutting efficiency when it detects dense, tall grass. But when the grass conditions are less demanding, IntelliCut will switch to a lower setting to help conserve battery power and extend run time. For added convenience, the mower features 7-position single-lever height adjustment to easily adapt cutting height from 1.5” to 4” without the hassle of multiple levers. Always cut the way you want with 3-in-1 discharge modes that allow you to effortlessly switch between bag, mulch, and side discharge functions. Cutting in darker conditions is made possible with the mower’s bright LED lights that help increase visibility. When it’s time for larger projects, rest assured this 21” self-propelled mower is ready to work, thanks to the included (2) 20V 5.0Ah Power Share PRO batteries. These batteries use advanced tech to optimize performance and offer a 2.5X run time over traditional 2.0Ah batteries. You’ll never have to guess how much battery power is left, as the mower’s charge-level indicator provides quick updates on the charge status. Once the job is done, use the mower’s fully collapsible handle for streamlined and space-saving stand-up storage.

Lasted 2 mowing seasons
This would have been my 3rd summer with this mower and it does not work. Mower is cleaned after mowing and batteries stored in the house....this year the mower would not start. Batteries work fine as I use them in my other worx yard tools. The mower is not durable and does not last and there is no way to repair it. I do not suggest this mower. I have gone back to a gas mower...as least if something breaks it's very likely it can be fixed.

I hate this mower
Only good thing is it starts easy. Gas mower in my yard done with complete yard 45 min. Can’t lower blade lower than highest cut or can’t get yard mowed in two battery charges. Yard looks like grass chewed off. Run on very slow self propelled mode to save batteries. Correct batteries are always out of stock to have some charging while mowing or at least ready. At first thought operator errors because different. Box got wet and destroyed and did not get pachsged for return. I’m so sorry for this HUGE purchase.

Great if you have extra batteries
My front yard is about a quarter acre with lots of obstacles. It takes me about an hour and a half to mow. Yes, I am slow. I usually let my Landroid take care of it, but due to road construction the boundary wire has been clipped. I'm happy with the performance of this mower and the self-propelled feature is a must for me. The only issues that I have had is that it takes three sets of batteries to finish the job. This is not a problem because I have multiple Worx tools, but if this was someone's first purchase it would be frustrating. Oh, and the front wheel fell off this morning. It was simple to reattach it, but I am really surprised that it happened. This is the mower's first season and it makes me a little concerned about its longevity.

Just Ok at best
I like Worx products and was excited to try this mower. After using it for 6 months, I can say it has a few good features and many bad features. I would not purchase it again. The Good: Nice sturdy deck and great storage design. Wheels are nice quality as well as making height adjustments. The bagger seems to be well made, but I have never used it. The Bad: Awkard handle design with 2 opposing bails makes the self propel feature a nuisance. Everthing has to be timed perfect to release the bail before turning to be able to "free wheel" the back wheels for tight turn (think going back in forth in a fenced yard), all the while holding in the blade engage bail. It is a very cumbersome design only suited for highly coordinated people. The auto sense feature is terrible it usually speeds up after you pass through a thick clump of grass. A simple manual boost button/blade throttle would have suficied. The battery life is not great, I have a small yard (4500 ftsq) if I self propel they are near spent, I push it 99% of the time (as mentioned) and have 2 bars left of 5. The organge break down handle releases are beyond terrible and catch on numerous things in tight quarters, such as fencing, gutters, walls etc. (did any Worx designers actually even test this?) Lastly the cut is only so-so at best, It does not have the suction of gas mower and it shows in the quality of the cut. I think if they had a higher RPM motor and a bigger battery bank it could have competed. I will use this mower until it needs to be replaced but it will not be with a Worx, and I have numerous tools from them and for the most part all of them great. One other thing is the blade, it is light weight and needs to be sharpened way more than a gas unit to have any hope of acheiving a half decent cut. Lastly where is the Manual??? Come on Worxs I expected better from you on this.

disappointing
Just started my second season with this lawnmower. I have mowed my lawn 4 times this spring and the batteries have not lasted long enough to cut both back and front lawns. They are not big area. One is 30 feet by 30 feet and the other is 30 by 40. My blade was sharpened and it still did not make a difference.I would not recommend this mower.

Starts easy.
I hate this mower. Lucky to get 20 minutes mowing time from batteries. Used to take 45 min with gas mower, now takes at least two days for charging.

Cheap, literally fell apart over 2 years
I was immediately surprised how cheap the materials were. But I assumed it was the price point. However I was frustrated by the lack of power and the fact it won't allow me to lower the blade and cut the grass as short as I like. But the real problem began about 6 months after i bought it, the plastic switch that allows you to fold and store the mower just broke. I didn't want to deal with returns or repairs so I dealt with it. Not long after, the self propell mechanism stopped working. It just makes a rubbing noise like gears are stripped. This year I pulled the mower out for the first time and the handle completely broke off. That caused lever to over extend and the plastic parts in the controls broke. Judging from the cheap materials used in this product I would absolutely avoid it.

Price with Batteries not worth it
I bought this mower thinking I would get more capabilities and battery life, but the batteries don't even compare to my old Worx mower. Now I can't even finish my front and back yard. Forget about using the self-propel option, which uses even more battery. I have to pick two separate days to mow my lawn which is not convenient considering I care for my dad at his house 5 days of the week.

Short battery time
I'm disappointed to type this because I love my Worx trimmer and leaf blower. I have a smaller yard, about 1/3 of an acre. I bought the mower last September, and didn't used it from November-late March. In some cases, I can get through 3/4 of the yard before the batteries die. Recently, I can get through about half of the yard. It's very frustrating having to mow this smallish yard separate times because the batteries don't last. When they run out of juice, they're too hot to charge right away. I don't know if my batteries are bad, or if they just don't last long. The mower itself does cut very nicely and always starts.

Disappointed
I have many Worx products and have been happy with all of them, until this purchase. I have a small city single lot and I have to change batteries half way through. The levers that you use to fold the mower down are made of plastic and one of them snapped off when mowing beside a fence. Poor design! I find it very hard to maneuver. My 21” gas mower was much easier to maneuver. I’m sorry I wasted my money!!

Great mower
I initially reviewed this product as poor. What is bad, no awful are the instructions. I am not the first to complain the mower runs but blade doesn't turn. There are no written instructions, just pictures. A few words at each picture would make a lot of frustration go away. You most hold the start button down when you pull the black bail to the handle.

Perfect for my lawn in every way!
I've suffered from low back disc problems for over 5 years. This is a fantastic light-weight alternative to my old gas-powered mower. Batteries last plenty long for my mid-sized lawn. Love the ease of height adjustment and switching between mulch and bag in a flash!

40v Nitro self propelled lawn mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All in all this is a good lawn mower. Only downside is it doesn’t have great vacuum for for picking up edger clippings on cement like a gas powered lawnmower does. I would have preferred front wheel drive over rear. I have a large front and two medium lawns and the batteries still were over 50% charge left after mowing all of them

Nitro 40V Self-Propelled Lawn Mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mower works well. I upgraded the battery and can now cut the lawn twice on one charge. I would suggest upgrading the battery to an 8 amp when there is a sale. I have two other Worx Mowers and purchased this one which has more features including an LED light to see when the Sun goes down. All have been excellent. The battery sizes have gotten smaller with the new models.

Simply Love It
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Of all the Worx products I own, this just might be my favorite. No more gas, oil, filters, spark plugs, winterizing - What's not to love. It has more than enough battery life to cut the front and back lawns.
