A: Yes you do need a drill bit to install the anchor.

submitted byPetal - 5 years agoA: I think this all depends on what type of wall material you are hanging these on and how heavy the items you plan to put on them are. I did not use the anchors. I went right into my drywall and I have zero issues with there sturdiness. They are very secure. I don't have extremely heavy items on them either, though.

I like it but one if the screws is stuck inside the hole and i cant get it out and idk if it will screw into the wall or not might have to return it. The screws r bot supposed to fit all the way into the hole thats premade.

Two sets equals one usable shelf!
Very poor quality in every regard. Bought two, one the metal ring for the screw popped off while securing the piece to the wall. The second, the fasteners on the bottom of the shelf for the metal to hook on were entirely non existent! So two kits came together to make one functional shelf.
