Q: How do you play this!?
submitted by ConfusedMomma - 2 months ago
A: Hello Guest - We appreciate your interest in this product. This is an open-ended game – one way to play is to roll the die and take turns putting the color on the ice game, trying to balance it on the board without anything falling. I hope this helps, happy shopping at Target! - Griffin

Make your own rules!
At first, I was annoyed that this didn't come with instructions. But my 4 year old and I actually had a lot of fun inventing our own different ways to play. This is a great toy for inspiring creativity.

Instructions (im sure there are many ways to play but heres what we did and it was fun!!
Instructions: 2 players. Start with all pieces on board, both green to one side, both red to other and 1 white iceberg each side. Player 1 rolls dice, whatever color they get is now their color to continue trying to get, player removes 1 penguin with said color. Now it’s player 2’s turn, they roll the dice trying for the other color, if they roll the first players color they’re out and need to wait to try again after player 1 goes again. Repeat process until all penguins and icebergs are off. If the penguins or icebergs fall during a players turn, they lose. Whoever gets all 3 pieces for their side off first wins.

INSTRUCTIONS
INSTRUCTIONS since the game didn't come with them: The goal of the game is for all six pieces to be balanced on the teetering iceburg, with the iceburg leaning towards you. If the iceburg leans to your side with all six pieces balanced on it, you win. You and your opponent take turns balancing a red penguin, green penguin, or snowball on the iceburg. The snowballs weigh half as much as a penguin. If you choose a penguin, you must then the die before placing the penguin. If you roll the opposite color, you pass your turn. ex: If you choose a green penguin, then roll green, you may place the penguin anywhere on the iceburg. If you choose a green penguin but roll red, you do not place the penguin and instead pass to the opponent. The snowballs have no color, but weigh half as much. You may place these freely on your turn instead of rolling to place a penguin. if any penguins or snowballs fall off the iceburg, they go back into the pool of available ones to place. This may happen on accident or if you intentionally sabotage your opponent by weighing down their side. The game continues until all six pieces are placed on the iceburg. Then, whichever player whos side it is tilted towards is the winner. Or play however you want! These rules worked great for my wife and I.

No directions for the game :(
Disappointed to open this and find no guide or instructions for play. Sure we can make something up but including basic rules is an expectation. Wouldn’t recommend this due to that, plus the black paint from the penguins smudged underneath them onto the rocking game board so it looks bad when penguins aren’t set on it. Only $5 - so I guess I got what I paid for…lol

Absolutely zero instructions. Nothing here either. Cute product but wish I would have read the reviews before buying. This is just stupid.

Maybe good for decor, but not a game :/
Same as every one else… it was really cute so I picked it up in store, figuring the game instructions would be inside the packaging. Nope. Nada. It really makes no sense once you’re trying to play with it. Too bad. I guess it will make for a fun decoration instead!

no game instructions
its very cute, but there are no instructions on game play. it comes with 2 penguins in each color, 2 snow balls, and a die with red and green sides. what is the object of the game, to keep the snow balls on the iceburg? if its just back and forth play what do you use the dice for? it seems like it should be so simple but its quite confusing.
