Women's Long Sleeve V-Neck T-Shirt - A New Day™

I really wanted to like these at their price point. It didn’t last more than one season. Threads were hanging everywhere even with appropriate laundering.

I love the fit of this shirt, it’s neither too loose nor too tight, it’s perfect for me as I put on a bit of tummy postpartum. I would say it fits true to size, but still has some stretch. The material is soft, not too thin and not transparent so it can be worn by itself, it is also a great layering piece. I have washed it a few times and it still looks decent.

I got this shirt from in-store a couple of months ago. I really liked it, so I wanted to get more. I ordered 2 online, and they came quickly. I was happy; the shirts were exactly the same as the one from the store. Until I washed them. The in-store one had been washed several times at that point with no problems at all. After washing the online ones once, they shrunk at least 1 size. Both of them! I didn't put them in the dryer, I never do. They are still wearable as pajama tops, which is what I bought them for, but I hope they don't shrink again.

This item, though a nice fabric is SERIOUSLY short. Seems srinkflation is real. They took 4 inches off the bottom of all their shirts (I got three different types and they all were short!) If you are petite or looking for a crop top you might like this, but otherwise be warned, they are not full length shirts. :/

I loved the way theses shirts fit. I bought two of them. Both of them had big seams come out after the first wash (just a normal wash, not anything extra). Had to toss them. 😞

Soft and stretchy tshirt

I bought the Universal Thread long sleeve as well as the A New Day long sleeve (it was hard to tell from the pictures what the difference was between the two brands). Here’s the difference between the two (my sizing info below): Universal Thread material is a little thinner. The stitching around the waist (bottom of shirt) is not as stretchy, if at all, as the other brand. It’s also a tad shorter than the other brand. The sleeves are also a little longer. It’s still a very nice long sleeve and I have already worn them (I got black, white, and pink). A New Day material is thicker but not too thick. The sleeves and short length are a nice length. The material is also a little more stretchy and forgiving (a plus for me) especially around the waist unlike the other brand. I personally don’t like things super tight on me and this shirt fits nicely. My sizing: 5’5” about 130 lbs, smaller waist, bigger hips, broad upper body, small chest. I bought an XS in both brands. I read a few reviews and decided to try the XS. A size small might be slightly too big for my taste. I put them in the dryer and they seemed to still fit fine.

Buyer beware, I baught this shirt in the past and loved it so I thought I’d get another one. This new one is awful. The fabric is thinner, the stitches are not as nice. There are loose threads and large surging stitches. The one I baught in the past was made in Vietnam, it has double stitching around the neckline and a think enough weave that it’s not see through. The neckline is really, nice with double stitching. The one I just baught is made in Nicaragua, has single stitching around the neck it has uneven, large stitching around the neckline. The neckline is stretched out. The fabric is extremely thin. I didn’t think I baught the same shirt at first but they are marketed as the same thing.

Stretchy! I am a size 10 and ordered a medium. Fits well, not too tight. Comfortable material. I have it in 2 colors.

Do yourself a favor, buy it now! Very comfortable top, can dress up or just wear with your jeans! I’m buying more colors!

I love the feel of A New Day shirts, but I have purchased multiple ones and no matter how careful I launder them, they shrink. As a tall person with a long torso, I can't take shrinking shirts :(
