A: I don't think she understood the Q. 7/8 length is supposed to be 7/8 of regular length (1/8 shorter in length). So, say the regular inseam was 25," the 7/8 length would be 21.8." Styles vary so much, it often doesn't mean a whole lot and if you're short it, it likely doesn't matter a lot.
