Great tent. 2 issues that I found. There should be place for a stake at the entrance. This would give the ability to open the Zip with one hand. The bag that come with it is big but could be biger you have to rool the tent tight to make it fit in the bag. In long term I'd like to have a flysheet. It would be a great addition to protect the tent.

We used the financing option
We used the financing option because this was a big purchase for us. It helped space things out over a few months. Totally worth it—this isn’t your average wall tent. It’s something you can actually live in for extended periods.

The first night in the tent
The first night in the tent was during a storm. Rain, wind, the works—and we stayed completely dry. Honestly, it made me trust the setup right away. It’s not light or small, but that’s what makes it feel like a real structure.

The fabric, stitching, and zippers all feel premium. We’ve had cheaper canvas tents before and you can really feel the difference. This thing is built for people who actually live or work out of their tent.

Really cool tent. The higher walls add a lot of extra room. Perfect for glamping. The 14 foot version has plenty of room. Also great custom service.

I’ve lived out of this tent
I’ve lived out of this tent for over five months now while building a small cabin on my property. It’s been through snow, hail, and two back-to-back storms and hasn’t flinched. It holds warmth beautifully with the stove going, and the ventilation options help during warmer days. Easily the most durable and comfortable canvas tent I’ve used.

Used the tent all winter with a wood stove and stayed warm even when temps dropped into the single digits. My wife was hesitant at first, but after one night she was fully onboard. It's quiet inside and feels safe, like real shelter.

If you’re looking for something for weekend camping, this might be overkill. But if you’re staying more than a few nights—or running trips like we do—there’s nothing more comfortable or durable than this.

I’ve had mine up for nearly two years as a seasonal shelter and it still looks new. We resealed the seams after the first season, and that helped even more with insulation and rainproofing. White Duck got this one right.

We've had this tent set up
We've had this tent set up since the first week in June and I have nothing but good things to say about it. It's weathered storms with very high winds here in upstate NY and the worst that happened was the awning popped off one of the poles in one spot ” no harm done. (Now I take one of the awning poles down and lower one side of the awning when a storm is coming and that seems to work well.) The fact that it's perched near the top of a pretty high hill and it weathers the weather so well has been surprising! We love this thing so much.

Financing made this possible
Financing made this possible for us. Between the tent, the stove jack, the porch, and the fly, it adds up fast. But being able to split it into payments made it feel doable, and now we’re out in the woods every other weekend.

Canvas feels tough, but
Canvas feels tough, but breathable. The windows and vents make a huge difference when you're running a stove. Setup was straightforward once we laid everything out. We added a porch later, and now it feels like a full-on cabin.

This tent is phenomenal. Every detail has been given much attention; from the quality/ feel of the front door zipper to the many options for adjusting each window. You get what you pay for and this tent is a masterpiece. The Altimus is a cross between the Whiteduck Avalon and a Gazelle pop-up gazebo. Its the perfect tent for couples/ families who are interested in car camping and plan to spend at least 2-3 nights at camp. The œAwning for Bell Tents > œAvalon Awning is a must-have accessory for the Altimus. The breeze under the awning was a divine respite when the inside of the tent gets warmer at high noon. If anyone has seen my mom, please let me know.

The porch accessory changed
The porch accessory changed everything for us. We use it as a cooking and gear area, which frees up interior space. The design is smart, and the canvas is clearly meant to last for seasons, not weekends.

Setup was a bit intimidating
Setup was a bit intimidating out of the box, but once we laid out all the parts, it made sense. Definitely a two-person job the first time. Now we can get it up in under an hour, and it’s always worth the effort.

Took us two hours to set it up the first time and probably half of that now. The instructions were okay, but a video guide would’ve helped. Still, once you get the hang of it, the frame and canvas come together beautifully.

We set this up on a remote
We set this up on a remote site where we guide clients. Everyone assumes it’s a semi-permanent cabin. It’s that well made. After using a few other brands over the years, this is the one I now recommend to everyone.

We love it! We set it up in our backyard for a test run and the higher screen walls all around make a big difference for air flow. We'll write more as it gets some use for our glamping business. Thanks White Duck!

Couldn't be happier! It's a great hybrid between a Bell tent and a Wall tent. Setup is simple enough, and I'm excited to see how the walls stand up against windy Idaho weather. The size is perfect for solo camping or with a group. The roll up canvas walls is a really nice feature. Excited to use it for years to come!

My only regret is not getting
My only regret is not getting it sooner. We used to struggle with leaky or drafty shelters during long hunting trips. This tent changed the game. Sturdy, warm, and there’s space for everything—gear, stove, cots, and then some.
