Book Synopsis
What to Do When It's Not Fair is an updated edition of the best-selling workbook that guides kids and their parents through the difficult emotions of envy and jealousy using strategies and techniques based on cognitive-behavioral principles.
This interactive self-help book is a valuable resource for educating, motivating, and empowering children to cope with envy, so they can sail the high seas with ease!
Have kids in your life ever noticed how pirates use a spyglass to focus in on other ships or land in the distance? When they focus on small things, they miss seeing other things around them. Sometimes they miss the beautiful treasure they already have! Just like a pirate using a spyglass, kids may focus in on one thing they want and not notice all the good things they already have. If you have a kid who thinks "it's not fair," this book is for them!
Included is a note to parents and adult caregivers written by the authors with additional psychological information and coping strategies for helping children deal with envy and jealous and other stressful situations.
