I bought this card as a Christmas present for my little sister. When she opened the card. Four of the 16 digits scratched off the card. The black strip was scratched up. That’s unusable. The card has money on it, but cannot be activated due to the strip being scratched off target is refusing to refund me for the item. I’ve called the third-party. They want me to wait over a month for a replacement card that I just bought yesterday. I highly recommend not buying this card or any of their Visa cards because target will not refund it if your card is damaged.

Total scam, do not purchase!
Total scam. Tried to use the $100 gift card the day I bought it as it was for my son to go to an event where cash was not accepted and he doesn’t have any cards yet as he’s too young. I tried to check the balance before he left with it and it wouldn’t show any balance, their site kept erroring. So I called and they said there was nothing they could do and I needed to open a case and they would investigate. I had to provide a huge amount of personal information for them to look into their own issue, I am so very annoyed. My son had to go to his event with no way to pay for anything, Awful experience, awful card. Do not purchase.

Purchased this 100 dollar gift card. When receiptient opened the number was rubbed off. Apparently the funds were used in az somewhere via a call to visa. I purchased in TN. Trying to get my money back but no luck yet.

A huge scam
I'm truly in awe that Target continues to sell these after reading all of the reviews. Like many others have mentioned, I purchased two of these for Christmas presents only to find out yesterday that the security code is gone off of both of them. I have been in circles with Target and Visa and gotten nowhere. Huge lesson learned. Makes me sick to my stomach to loose money to scammers.

I, like many others, was scammed with purchasing this gift card. I got two of them near Chicago, IL and the cards only had 12 digits (instead of 16) and the security code was rubbed off. The cards are completely unusable. Target wouldn’t refund..

Purchased this at the pico Rivera target which was mistake number one, as a Xmas gift. Upon opening the card the security numb. and half of the 16 digit numbers were missing. Will not be purchasing gc’s from target if they can’t guarantee proper product.
