Vicente isn't brightly colored like the other chameleons. Vicente is different. Vicente is completely white but he wants to be like the others and is willing to do anything to achieve it. However, nothing seems to work out the way he wants it to. With the help of a friend, he soon discovers that it's not important to be the same as the others and that he's great just the way he is.

About the Author

Javier Ruescas was born in Madrid (Spain) and holds a degree in Journalism. He has published numerous novels that have made him one of the best-known children's and young adult writers among Spanish and Latin American readers. His works include the children's series Malada Madrina (Edelvives) and La abuela espía (Edebé), co-written with Andrés Quinzaños; the novels Pulsaciones y Latidos (SM), co-written with Francesc Miralles; Prohibido creer en historias de amor (Penguin Random House); and Lo que pasó (Crossbooks). In 2015, he won the Hache Prize for Literature.
Besides writing, Javier is currently working on various audiovisual projects as a screenwriter. He has worked as an editor and has participated in numerous international conferences, talks, and round tables on new technologies, young authors, and the state of young adult literature in Spain. Vincent Looks Different is his first picture book.

A graduate from the School of Fine Arts in Madrid, Bea Enríquez is a visual artist who has exhibited her work in many important galleries. As an illustrator, she has worked with Santillana and Everest as well as with other publishers.
