I spend time out in the wilderness and also often carry a firearm so I like to have at least a couple of chest seals with me in my emergency kit at all times. Based on my first aid training I personally prefer unvented chest seals, but these will do in a pinch as well and far better than not having any! I recommend having these in any emergency kit, both at home and in your vehicles :)

I live in a very dangerous country, buyed these to have in my emergency kit in case something happens. I can't speak about the quality but they seem well made. Hope I'll never have to use it, but I feel more prepared and ready in case someday something happens.

I open one package to see how they worked and check their construction. They seem to be good quality. The packaging is tough and won bust open easily.

This is one of those things that you don't really want to use (like life insurance), but it's worth having so that you have the best chance of taking car of those around you. It's pretty self explanatory and easy to use (particularly if you already are familiar with the concept).

While I hope to never have to use one of these, this does appear like it would do the job. The adhesion is very very strong and the section in the middle is large enough for a typical wound. I keep one in my work vehicle as part of my emergency kit to have on hand just in case!

I'm thankful I cannot say
I'm thankful I cannot say how well these worked in real life. But, they are an important addition to one's home trauma kit. An open chest wound is uncommon but if it does happen, you'll want one of these to seal the wound so the victim's lung doesn't collapse. Most 'trauma kits' available nowadays are mostly full of band aids. Don't stop there. Add things like these so you can handle something bigger than a cut finger.

This is the product you hope you never need, but if you do, it can be lifesaving. A wound that penetrates a lung can cause a sucking of air through that opening. It is important to seal that off quickly. Latex-free.

I really hope I never have to put these to use. But if I need them I'll be immeasurably thankful to have them. Good on the shelf for 5 years. Thick packaging should be able to survive living in my first aid kit long term.

Easy to use Chest seals come in a two pack. Easy to use. Apply to wound less down to seal. This is high quality chest seal as it is vented and you don have to vent it yourself. A great medical supply for your trauma bag or medicine cabinet.

As others have said, I hope I will never need this, but it is nice to have around. As a healthcare professional I know I could make a 1 way valve type of occlusive dressing, but this is certainly easier. The large size is certainly a plus. The dressing is quick substantial and has the basic instructions needed for use printed right on the package. I have added one to my emergency car bag and one to my emergency home bag - you never know (I have had to treat a bad laceration with a tourniquet and an open fracture in my own neighborhood in the past, so its nice to have something like this). The major plus of this dressing is that it can quickly be applied and you don't need to make the dressing.

These are great additions
These are great additions for your emergency first aid kits. I got them and examined the packaging and made sure everything is properly sealed and well kept. These are to be used during emergency and I read the instructions, which is rather direct and simple to use. I haven't opened the two packages up since I don't currently have an wound that requires that. These will be a life saver when you are treating a condition that requires a quick seal.

These are quality vented
These are quality vented chest seals. Thankfully, they are individually packaged. These are a must have for any serious emergency medical kit. These are important to have not only in EMT bags but individual first aid kits as well. They're great for first responders, preppers, hikers and campers. A vented chest seal can potentially buy you some time in an emergency until you're able to get to the hospital for treatment. I'm going to be ordering more of these for the other trauma kits I have.
