The smell alone is terrible! I don't smell vanilla at all. I used it twice and threw it out because I just can't even like it enought to get the $5 I spent on it. YUCK! Do not buy!

Chemically sweetness in the worst way
Not great. Very artificial sweetness, almost a chemical undertone. I used very little in the second cup I made to see if maybe I had used too much the first time and nope, still taste the weird nastiness. Not a fan.

It's syrup lacking any flavor.
Brulee means to at least caramelize, if not burn. There isn't a single note in this syrup that even hints at toasted or charred. And the vanilla itself isn't indulgent, either. Very disappointing.

Don’t love the flavor, it’s very very strong and almost harsh. Kind of a burnt vanilla taste. Not quite sure how else to describe it. I also had an issue with ants getting INSIDE the bottle. Nothing else in our pantry had ants, couldn’t even find where they came from, but somehow they got in the bottle (and I’m very careful about making sure things are closed all the way). Don’t know if that’s a design flaw or the bottle we got happened to have an issue? But had to throw it away.

Vanilla bean but no vanilla?
This has such a weird, artificial flavor to it. It claims nothing artificial on the label, but somehow tastes as fake as can be? On closer inspection of the label, it doesn’t even have any vanilla in it at all. But does have citrus extract? I’m assuming that’s where the chemical flavor is coming from. Like sweetening your coffee with floor cleaner.
