With their extended blooming period, you will have long lasting colors in your garden. When I received this set of bulbs, they looked healthy and easy to grow. You plant in the fall for gorgeous blooms in the spring. I cannot wait for them to bloom in spring and enjoy all the colors!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received my box of tulip bulbs from Van Zyverden. They are the tulip extened bloom roseate mixture. These are a selection of differnet classifications of tulips. It should freat a colorful diverse display in the sprintime. I am planting while the ground is still soft from a recent rain, and before the first frost comes which could be anytime since it is November. You can plant these bulbs in containers or in the ground. I am following the planting instructions that were included in the package. It is suggested to place tulips close to one another to avoid having them standing by themselves in the spring. Plant in full sun in the fall. Just make a hole about 5-6 inches deep, place bulbs in pointy side up. Then cover with loose crumbly soil that will drain well for best results. Water them, and in the spring they produce beautiful colorful flowers that are 16-24 “ tall. This is my first time planting tulips so I will be anxious to see them this spring. I will post again next spring to show my tulip garden.

This mix requires fall planting, so it’ll be a few months before I see the results, but the promise of those soft pinks, reds, and whites filling the garden makes the wait worthwhile. With 25 bulbs, I’m expecting a beautiful spread and that extended bloom period to keep the colors going longer. It’s a bit of delayed gratification, but spring should be stunning!
