  • A: The Elegant Valance 9ft Umbrella is compatible with a table that has at least a 1.5" diameter hole. Most tables use a standard 1.75″ hole. You can use an umbrella hole reducer ring. Thank you for your question.

No Tilt Button

Advertisement says it is a tilting umbrella, unfortunately there is no button to press and tilt per the instructions. Looks as if it would be able to tilt if there was a way to release the tilt mechinism.

You are correct, there is no tilt button but not for the reason you think. The "tilt button" operates automatically. Please see the operation instructions below. OPERATION INSTRUCTION Connect umbrella with bottom pole by locking the metal pins. Open umbrella by turning the crank to clockwise direction all the way up. Continue cranking in clockwise direction while umbrella tilts by itself. Crank counterclockwise to direct umbrella back to straight up position. Continue cranking in counterclockwise direction to close down the umbrella.

Cheap material

I have bought several of these umbrellas over the past few years and this current one is the only one that is a huge disappointment. Could not get the bottom pole to slide into the pole attached to the umbrella. But my main disappointment is the fabric. The other umbrellas I have are a canvas material. These are made of a cheap rain umbrella material and to make matters worse because the fabric is so thin the sunlight comes through. I will definitely look for a different manufacturer next time I need one. Savaviah quality has gone downhill.

Beautiful & classy

Girllllll...this umbrella is classy, easy and no fuss. Truly a beautiful piece of equipment. Love that I just have to crank a little more tot he right to get it to tilt instead of trying to mess with the top of the umbrella when I need to avoid the sun. Would buy again if needed.
