It is gorgeous, a big more muted than picture though. There is no fancy backing but everything is pretty high quality. the edging isn't perfect but seems durable. it does shed some with vacuuming and just general wear. the 5'3 x 8' oval much much high quality than a calypso 2' x 3' i also tried (which was sent back). i guess the bigger the rug the higher the quality...
