A: Hi JL Bear, No TXL mattresses will be too long. This bed uses two standard twin-size mattresses (not included). We suggest each mattress should be 4-6"H. The two mattresses are stacked on top of each other while in twin position and then you slide one mattress over when extended to king-size. Thanks for your inquiry!

A: Hi Amy! Apologies that our helpful video doesn't seem to be showing onsite! You will stack two twin mattresses on top of each other when the bed is in 'twin' position. Then when you extend the bed to king-size you'll slide one over to the extended side so it will be level. We suggest two standard size twin mattresses, each mattress should be 4-6"H to work well with the bed when in 'twin' position. Hope this helps!
