Truvia Sweet Complete Brown Sweetener with the Stevia Leaf - 14oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll admit I wasn't sure what to expect from this because I've used stevia in the past and it's super sweet so you don't need a lot. Put a little too much and there's an after taste. Well, the Truvia really surprised me! I like my coffee on the sweeter side so I tentatively used 1 teaspoon plus a sprinkle extra. It was perfect! I could actually taste the molasses flavor and the sweetness didn't overpower my coffee. I usually use raw or brown sugar in my coffee so this is a decent substitute.

However found out in the ingredients list this contains molasses in order to get its brown color and that is a sweetener so this isn’t truly a low calorie alternative to really brown sugar.

I was grateful I had an opportunity to try this because I’ve never used it before. I was quite nervous but intrigued as to how it would taste in my cookie recipes. Sometimes you can tell a difference with these types of sugars. Luckily they turned out oh so good!!🍪 The flavor was spot on!! My molasses cookies were so sweet, rich, and it was just like regular brown sugar!! I don’t know why it took me so king to try it! My cookies baked beautifully too! They were so soft, they had that chewy texture that I love so much. No weird aftertaste either, which was my biggest concern when it came to trying any sugar alternatives. I also really love that it’s lower in calories than other brown sugars so it’s essentially guilt free! I can eat more cookies now!! lol! I’ll definitely be using this again for cookies and other recipes. It completely changed my perspective on sugar alternatives. I only gave it 4 stars because I wish this package had more in it. I do tho recommend Truvia, if you’re looking for an easy swap out for brown sugar., this is the one to try!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is so delicious! I used it last night in my dinner - Sesame Chicken! I also use it to bake goodies and in my oatmeal. So, breakfast, dinner and dessert are covered - with a little less guilt. It doesn’t have a “fake” sweetener aftertaste. The texture is just like regular brown sugar. The granules are nice and moist and a decent size. It blends well when mixing in doughs or sauces. It dissolved so well in my oatmeal. The package is resealable so that makes it so easy to store.
