A: Our tea bags do not contain any microplastics. They are compostable, Non-GMO Project Verified, Rainforest Alliance-certified and made from both sustainably harvested abacá leaf fiber and wood pulp into a double-chamber design that ensure better herbal extraction (no chemical sealants!) This throat coat is the goat! I have bought this for years and restock when I feel a sore throat coming on. I will say it doesn’t prevent it but it does coat your throat and makes it more bearable! Cannot say enough good things!!!! Just buy it so you have it on hand! And if you don’t love the light licorice flavor, just add more honey and you won’t taste it

I got this tea for my son when he came down with a terrible virus. He had a sore throat and was coughing constantly nonstop. The tea did soothe his sore throat just like it says it supports throat health. The taste is okay, mostly like honey and lemon. It did not really help with the coughing, though I am not sure if it is supposed to. The price is reasonable and I would recommend it for anyone dealing with a cold, sore throat, or similar symptoms. **don't mind the photo of my sons tea in his peeps mug, its now his fav tea cup lol**

Helped my cough so much!!!
I got a cold and had one of those annoying coughs. I gave this tea a try and was shocked how good it worked for me. I let it steep for 15 min and added honey. It was very good and I instantly felt better, no joke. My cough wasn't bothering me anymore and I didn't even need to take cough medicine, which I was taking every 4 hours before this tea. I highly recommend this!!

I was worried when others said it had a strong licorice flavor, but I could barely detect it. The flavor is actually very pleasant, lemony. Honey definitely makes it even better. The main reason I wanted this was because I heard it helped people with the issue of frequent throat clearing. I noticed a huge difference after my first cup! Highly recommend.

Love this tea!
I found this tea so delicious! I didn't have time add anything to it. We went on a trip and I had packed some. I had some both of the morning gs we woke up there. I was so happy bc the taste was so good. I'm still not 100% and I had to stop drinking coffee. It's been so nice to have this tea instead.

Smell is terrible!
The taste and smell aren't great. I am new to drinking tea so not sure if it is an acquired taste. I drank this without vomiting thank goodness. I added honey to it and it still tasted bad so I added a couple drops of mint extract and it made it bearable. Won't purchase this again it was pretty gross!

Get past the taste and it works
I've been drinking this tea for probably the last 5 years. I can say, the first time I tasted it, I was completely disgusted. I dumped it out after having a few sips. BUT it honestly did soothe my throat instantly. My throat was so sore and I was coughing so much, I tried again with added honey and it was tolerable. Now I can drink it without honey easily. I wouldn't say it tastes good, but in my mind it's linked with instant soothing and decreases coughing. You do really need to let it steep for 15 minutes, so I suggest a double walled mug of some kind to let it sit. I also use 2 tea bags at once often when my throat is really bad while I'm sick.

Throat coat herbal tea
Believe it or not, this tea helps soothe your throat and cough. I will be honest, I don’t like the taste at all. It’s a very strong black licorice taste. I made myself force it down and I LOVE herbal teas. But it truly does work and I prefer to drink an herbal tea any day over toxic chemicals in some cold medications.
