The Lord Of The Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy Blu-ray2021

It doesn't include a Spanish audio track like the regular Blu-ray does

I saw this in 3D when it first released but my kid had been wanting to know the story (age 13). This dvd had the entire saga about the quest and it was really cool that we could watch it together, and there was only one dvd that had a little skip- but it wasn’t a big deal. I really like when I can get a whole series or season of things on dvd. Movie nights are big in this household!

I have the Limited Edition DVDs that have both Theatrical and Extended cuts on the same disc. I was looking to purchase the Extended Remastered Blu-rays though saw how cheap these Theatrical remastered Blu-rays were, so I grabbed them. It's being over 17 years that I haven't seen the Theatricals and I was thinking it would be cringe-worthy seeing them since I know how the Extended films go, however, I was surprised on how I liked the pacing of the films since it told the same story, but didn't get bogged down to ridiculous filler, especially in Return of the King. The only thing that I did miss from the Extended were the scenes with Boromir in Two Towers, and slight extended scenes of Faramir in Return of the King. Besides that I have to say I prefer these verision of the trilogy. The image quality compared against the original Blu-rays are top notch, they look like they were shot with modern cameras and the Dolby Atmos track...oof! Reference Material. Well worth upgrade.
