Each tile of this floor runner is individually hand-crafted out of small pieces of recycled teak that would otherwise be destroyed. The weaving process means that the mats are flexible, can be rolled up for easy storage and are guaranteed to lie flat on uneven surfaces.

Q: I just want to confirm the this can be used IN the shower - to stand on (and keep my toddler from slipping).

  • A: These mats can be used in the shower as teak has natural water resistant properties, but I'd suggest standing the mat on its edge after use to stop water from staying in the "weave" holes. While the wooden surface of these mats is likely less slippery than tile, we can't claim that the mats will prevent slipping. Thanks.

Great teak runner

This is a lovely mat. I am using it for a outdoor patio mat in front of a glass slider. Every piece of wood goes nicely together, very smooth, my cat enjoys sunning himself on it. The mat is well made, and has rubber backing so it does not slide around. I am thinking of getting another to put next to the original. Worth it.
