No lentils for you!
Truly tasty, not too spicy, but not bland either. People on low sodium diets need to examine contents before preparation. Cooking each dish is easy and generally trouble free! I will be eating this one frequently. People passing by my apartment always ask what I was cooking!

Sacred Food, Perfectly Seasoned
I don't want to tell anyone in case people run to the supermarket and by it but this is a sacred product. I cook basmati rice, cloves of garlic and cook it with the Madras Lentils and I believe the perfectly seasoned dish saves my life.

Seed Oils Added Recently
These have been a staple for our family for years. Very disappointed today to find that SEED OILS have been added unnecessarily to the ingredients. :( :( Amidst all the garnering support for healthier foods in the USA, this was a bummer. It will be our last box. :(

"Authentic Indian"???
I had high hopes and was excited to try this product. Unfortunately, it tasted exactly like canned vegetarian chili. I couldn't taste even a hint of "Indian" flavors. I added my own and somewhat redeemed the product, but "out of the pouch" flavor was way below expectations. I'm surprised by the average rating for this product. Maybe I got a bad batch?

Quick, delicious, and nutritious
I've been taking a bag of these lentils to school every other day and heating them up in the cafeteria microwave for about four months now. They are very easy to prepare and eat quickly or on the go. Highly recommend.

Excellent product to prepare in a hurry
I add one chopped tomato and half a can of red beans or boiled whole red lentils and simmer till rhe tomato is absorbed. This increases the quantity and adds to the flavor.

Delicious!
This is my first time trying the organic madras lentils. The preparation is easy, just pouring into a pot and letting it simmer a bit. I added bell peppers and jalepenos, then poured over rice. It was delicious. I want to try others!

Weak flavor
Tastes like nothing. I need to add my own flavoring. Have you ever had real Indian food from an Indian restaurant made by Indian people? Tastes 100x better than this. “Authentic recipe” is a deceiving statement. Authentic Indian food would never taste this weak.

Watery! Yuck!
Watered down! Is this their version of shrinkflation? Over a year ago I would have given 5 stars, but now they’ve ruined a good product. I would have gladly paid a little more for it if they had just left it the way it was. Now it’s awful! So disappointing…
