Terrible taste and smell
I have tried probably 10 different target sauces and I like all of them. I particularly like the garlic Mongolian one. This one is absolute garbage. It is the worst tasting and worse smelling sauce I have ever tried from this brand. My partner and I made chicken and he literally came up to ask me if the chicken had gone bad

Way too much ginger!
Huge disappointment. I thought it was maybe going to taste like Huli Huli sauce, which it did not. I’ve never seen it at my Target before, so I thought I would give it a try. The ginger taste is so strong that it overpowers everything. I tried adding honey to it, but it made no difference. I hate throwing away food, especially given the cost these days, so we will probably eat it as leftovers anyway. However, I will not be buying it again.

Found this on clearance. I thought I would give it a chance. Nope, not good. I do not taste the ginger nor the pineapple. I’m not sure what I tasted, but it wasn’t good. Going to wash the sauce off the four chicken breast I baked it in, diced it up and make chicken salad. Mayo can cover up a lot of sins.

Sauce is "gamey"
It seemed easy enough. Marinate some chicken, cook, and put over rice. However, the taste was awful. It smelled a bit unpleasant as well, but the flavor was gamey. We didn't use all of the chicken in the dish, and we tasted those, and they were fine. It was just the sauce that was bad. I do NOT recommend this at all!

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOTTT BUY this. I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY THIS!!! You’re better off with seasoning your chicken with black pepper and salt than this. It is terrible. I even added pineapple and extra ginger to help mask the flavour. Yuck

Don't Buy!
Whatever you think it would taste like… it doesn’t. It kind of tastes like a potpourri and if a gingerbread cookie had a baby. I had to wash it off the chicken to eat the rest of my food. You’re better off with something else.
