    Effective DGL, with an odd ingredient

    I've used DGL for years for digestive health. I've tried various brands. I like this formulation because it is chewable, which seems to work better, and does not have unnecessary sweeteners. I'm happy with it. I was surprised to see that it includes peppermint oil, which is known to aggravate acid reflux and therefore seemed like an odd choice for an inactive ingredient. But it is a small amount, it is real deal (not a manufactured mint flavor) and doesn't seem to cause a problem. I'd be interested in trying an alternate formulation with a substitute for that one ingredient should one be developed. Meantime, I appreciate the quality.

    DGL capsules

    I haven't tried these Chewables yet BUT, I have been opening the capsules and eating the contents. I can't say that the taste is great BUT, they certainly halp with my stomach problems. I have been doctoring esophageal - possibly ulcer for months and have taken far too many of the prescribed med. I started with these a few days ago and can say that the pain and discomfort has lessened immensely. The benefit far out weighs the taste for me.

    Did not like the peppermint oil in it, b/c the primary reason for getting it was to address acid reflux, and the peppermint oil in it tends to be irritating w/ that condition present.

    I will not be using it.

    I was disappointed at how many added ingredients it has compared to the other brand I was using. I should have checked more closely before ordering it; I can not use peppermint.

    Taste is awful!

    The taste is terrible for a chewable. I can remember when this product was flavored. I won’t order this again unless the capsule version is unavailable, which is why I ordered them this time.
