I dunno about how it cuts grass but the motor works awesome on my drill press. Shaft diameter was a perfect fit for the pulleys and a grub screw secured it with the flat on the shaft. Havent had it bog down on anything yet and don’t think i will with a 12 amp motor.

product is basically good but getting replacement parts iks horrible. cannot get a replacement blade which without the unit is just junk to throw away! VERY POOR PRODUCT SERVICE >DO NOT BUY IF YOU THINK YOU MAY NEED A NEW PART TO KEEP IT WORKING>

I bought this mower 3 years ago. I've used it each summer and I'm thoroughly impressed with how easy it is to push, how well it cuts my lawn and the simple and easy start. This year, I tore my Achilles tendon in June and I'm writing this at the end of Sept. My lawn has been neglected for months because I couldn't walk without falling. Today I attempted to cut my grass for the first time in 3 months. My Sun Joe Lawn Mower took on the job like a champ. See pics.

I have a Sun Joe MJ401E - the blade came off because the bolt holding it broke. OK. Things happen. Does Sun Joe have the bolt and the blade in stock to replace? NO. Do they have an expected time when they will have replacement parts? NO Do not buy this product. Make sure whatever product you do buy has replacement parts.

DO NOT BUY! They no longer make the blade for this mower, so you are out of luck if you need to replace it. I loved this mower until they could no longer supply the blade

I must like them this is my second one, the first one finally just got tired after 11 years. So i got a new one and for about the same price i paid the first time

This product is easy to use, light weight, instant start, and perfect for me -- an older, physically disabled woman with mobility problems as well as multiple medical issues. I really like this mower.

I was always miserable when I had to cut the lawn, because it was an unpleasant, cumbersome duty. I have a small (24x30 feet) backyard and two years ago I decided to buy this small lawnmower. I am now a master lawn cutter, who looks forward to cutting my lawn and do it religiously every week. This machine is so reliable, easy to use, light, easily manouverable, cuts beautifully (I now mastered the "golf course" look) - an absolute little gem. I never had a minute of problem with it. I am most assuredly a Snow Joe fan! Do not hesitate to buy from this excellent company!

I purchased this product couple of weeks ago after some study. Since my lawn- front and back yard is not that big, I chose this tiny machine. In addition, I was looking for electric mower, so got this one. Following are the pros and cons about this product: Pros: * Tiny and light weight * Design and shape is attractive * Blade is sharp (I have see how long does the sharpness stays) * Detachable bag is of good size * Noise is low while mowing * Three settings for cutting * Fall leaves can be crushed ( I tried by doing it just to do the experiment but not the mulch) * Needs little space in the shed ( I have 7*7 shed) * Warranty* * Instructions and packaging is alright Cons: * Since light weight, the plastic of the body seems to be flimsy (which is quite obvious) * Wheels are not sturdy and very light in weight * The lock settings can be concern (even an issue): if the lawn is not plain or with lots of uneven surface, then the height setting will get moved or changed. The locking system totally relies of a simple hooking type mechanism which is the integral part of wheels and the both the rods on which wheels are attached. I would say it is not locking system, but a putting the rods in the groves ( there are three groves for each wheel. * So, to change the settings, one can not see from top what settings do you have it or wanted to do it. You have to either tilt the mower or make it up side down to do the settings. Overall, a good mower. Does the job. Two years warranty* upon registration. So, do the registration right away. Thanks!

We have a very small backyard. Our gas powered lawn mower was an over kill. My wife found this SunJoe and it is perfect. Assembly is very easy. Adjusting the mowing height is easy and it mows great. Can't give it enough stars. Fantastic mower

Our lawn is completely out of control, it has been WEEKS since the plastic blade bolt BUSTED on it, and you still don't have any new ones or other components we NEED in stock, and it don't look like you have any intention of restocking them, any time soon.

So excited to try this & get back to mowing myself. Well-just got it this week & tried my first mow today. It cut off after 1 lane run!? Battery fully charged, nothing obstructing blades, cleaned out clippings catcher. Grass was wet but not overly so as it is a spitting kind of rain, not hard. Left it for an hour to see if it would start up as I know instructions said it may need time to reboot so to speak if 'overloaded' & still nothing. So is it only good in BONE DRY conditions? Super disappointed.

This is a great hard-working machine. Far more cutting power than I expected. I do not bag. Just let it flow out the back and mother nature does the rest. I recomend this unit highly.

This little guy is easy to toss in the trunk or truck and is extremely simple. Only limited by the length of your outdoor cord. I prefer to mulch and don't use the bag or a side discharge. It's quiet and it's easy to adjust the wheels and handle heights. Sharpening the blade was a cinch. I care about our Earth and I am switching to greener products when I can, like this! Thanks!

I could not remember when i bought this mower. It had to be 5+ years and it has been working very well.

Immediately after I receive this lawnmower I unpacked it and put it together in less than five minutes. It did a great job cutting my grass. My grass was so overgrown and it did not take long to cut it at all. It was quick and easy to put all the lawn shavings in the bag and the adjustable height was great as well. Great lawnmower great price great quality.

Small Machine and works well for a small front and back yard.
