Sun Joe Manual Reel 18" Push Behind Lawn Mower with Grass Catcher, SUJ-MJ501M

I have a small area and pulling out the gas powered mower is a hassle. I got this and even the kids love used this old school product! It was easy to put together and delivery was quick.

One of the parts came rusty and now the small left wheel came loose so let's see if we can fix it...

Would have been a 5 star but when you move the mower and the blade turns it makes a horrible racket. WD 40 helps some but it doesn't go away entirely

A literal snap to put together. Works smoothly and efficiently on my somewhat hilly lawn. Much easier to push than I anticipated after being warned against getting a manual reel. I am much happier getting some exercise and not using fuel.

This Sun Joe Manual Reel Mower is so easy to use. Glides easily and has a grass catcher that's easy to dump your cut grass. I am extremely happy with this product.

Our yard is not very big, so we wanted a mower that would be effective and inexpensive. This Sun Joe Reel Mower is the perfect solution. We have mowed a couple of times so far and the results are great! You would never know that the lawn was mowed with a reel mower. It cuts as well as a power mower. We are very happy with it.

I own a gasoline powered lawn mower. My lawn is medium sized that is roughly evenly leveled. Half of the year my gasoline lawn mower is stored away. I needed a mower that I could use as a back up for when my gasoline mower is stored away. With the rotating blades appropriately adjusted along the bedknife the MJ501M cuts very well and evenly. I make sure that the lawn is not too tall and is clear of twigs. The grass catcher does not snap off, it does a good job of catching grass, a small percentage of grass does not land in the grass catcher. The MJ501M is lightweight easy to store and has done a good job of cutting my lawn. The MJ501M reel mower is a great back up mower, it has even drawn interest from some of my neighbors.

I have an area in my yard that has a good deal of gravel under the grass, and it makes mowing with a power mower dangerous. My Sun Joe Reel Mower does the trick here...I was very surprised at how well it cuts. The grass in this area is tough and I occasionally need to back up and hit it again in spots, but this is not a problem. I think once I get the area in shape, it will be a cinch to keep it cut cleanly with this mower. Good job!

Easy to assemble even for a novice. Kinda fun to run around our small yard with it. Grass catcher really cuts down on the raking too.

Always wanted a non power mower but wanted it to be height a just able. With the small yard that I have it works great. Love the results. Great product and support team.

Love this mower! It was super easy to put together, very easy to adjust and does a great job on my small yard. I've had other reel mowers but this is my first one with a grass catcher which I LOVE - no more raking and as I run into rocks, pine cones, or twigs I can just pick them up and throw them in the catcher. Really really pleased with my purchase.

Almost all the grass clippings seem to collect on the left side of the grass catcher. I have to stop and shove it over to the right before I can continue mowing. Since this is a manual mower, even tiny twigs can stop the reel blade from cutting. I wish they could design it to cut edge-to-edge, including the area taken up by the wheels.
