Bought this about 3 weeks ago for our grandson’s 3rd birthday. He LOVES it! It’s the perfect size for him at this age. I wouldn’t suggest for a younger child. I like that it has the speed safety lock available because it can be difficult for kids to steer clear of obstacles in a small area. He has a very large wide open yard, so the faster speed is fine for him now that he got used to the tractor. Keep in mind that toddlers aren’t always good at watching where they’re going and they’re reaction-time isn’t developed. It doesn’t back up well with the wagon attached - the wagon tends to get sideways and caught. The wheels don’t have much traction because they’re made of plastic, not good if you have a sloped yard. He’s learned to start going in the lowest speed, then shifts faster after he gets going. Our slope is very minor. So far the battery seems to be holding up. Seems like he’s getting a good hour or so (probably more) while using both speeds/reverse. We put it on to charge after every use, no matter how long he’s used it, so having the charger handy where he parks it is important. I wish the charger port was a little more handy on the tractor but having it in a secured location is probably safer for young children. Definitely recommend this tractor for a 3 yr old child!

Update on review
I have already rated this in terms of assembly. Other than needing a cotter pin in the steering column pretty simple. But the radio did not work. The tuning button was depressed and I could not pop it free. I called them on Monday. They asked where and when I bought it and they asked for the serial number. They told me I'd have a new one in five days and they did not want the old one back. Five days later it was here and it works great. This is a company that wants to sell product and covets 5 star reviews, so its getting both. He's 3 years old and he has an I Pad, a battery powered tractor, and a am/fm radio. When I was three I think I had a rubber ball.

Very powerful!
I bought 2 of these to leave one at each set of grandparents for our daughter and our nephews and nieces. Having dealt with battery powered cars before I was not expecting much; but the quality of the build was exceptional and the battery power blew me away. My daughter is afraid to use high speed because of how fast it is - even on the grass! It drives around great on cut grass and on sidewalks. The only negative comment I would say is I wish the wheels had a little rubber on them because on any hard surface the wheels just want to spin because of the speed and torque the motor puts out.

Very happy with my purchase.
I've never given 5 stars but in this case I genuinely have no issue with the tractor. I have two younger boys 3 and 5 y/o. and about a 3,000 s.f. back yard which is all grass. My initial concern was smaller wheel power wheel toys wouldn't manage the grass, this does and very well. I've listed the pros below - built strong and very durable - two speeds + reverse , second gear is about as fast as you would want a 5 y/o to go - Battery life is more than enough to keep two boys busy for a couple hours - It comes with a little fm radio, kids love it, but for some reason I have npr going in the back yard constantly - we have orange trees in our back yard, we use the tractor/trailer to hall oranges to the neighbors - left it out overnight with the sprinklers on and in the rain, no issues :)

Son Loves it
Only two parts of assembly were confusing/difficult (rear chassis in the front??) Thing is really fast even on 1. We didn't bother to even put batteries into the radio because it's stupid to keep removing steering wheel to change them. Battery life is great, son hasn't ran out of juice yet between charges (1-4 hours/day)

Very good product
This was a gift for my grandchild a year and a half ago. He still rides it all over my 1.5 acre grass yard. It is stored on the carport at night but it's been rained on and the Florida sun has beat down on it for two summers. The color has not faded. The battery life is the same as when purchased (we only charge it when it's completely dead). The only thing that has gotten broken on it is one of the wheel fenders that my grandson bent backwards. The pull behind cart is still in excellent condition and carries his toys all over the place. We attached a bicycle cup holder and a horn to the tractor. The grandson loved it! The radio doesn't pick up very many stations. And it resets every time you turn the radio off. So we have to find a station rather often at times. But that's really my only complaint. This is a fantastic toy that has gotten a lot of use and enjoyment.

A real head turner!
I bought this for my daughter for her 1st birthday. And all I have to say is, I wish o had one when I was a kid. She absolutely loves this! It's a real head turner to. All my neighbors have to slow down cause they cant believe thos thing lol. Lights work great even at night. And the sound track that is built into the stereo is pretty cool. Still cant figure out the blu tooth setting for it though cause it wasnt part of the directions but their is a micro USB port and thumb stick port that u could plug into with something that u have downloaded I guess but all in all this is awesome.

This car is so cool
We reviewed many different options for a ride-on toy for our grandson. This John Deere tractor with trailer got top ratings and the price was reasonable. Plus, Dad had to put it together. He seemed to have no problem getting it together. All the parts were there. The joys of being a grandparent. You send it and the parents get to put it together. Our grandson was roughly 2.5 years old when he got this for Christmas. He figured out how to drive it fairly quickly. The slow speed is a nice starting speed. The faster speed is really nice and fast. I didn't clock it but it certainly seemed to be fast enough. It was faster than the car we bought for our granddaughter but her car was heavier and was a two-seater. It worked as described. The battery lasted quite long. Again, didn't time it. I would definitely recommend this tractor to anyone interested in a ride-on toy. He loves it. They have had it for two months now and he rides it every weekend. No problems so far.

My kid loves it
My 3 yr old Grandson loves tractors and dump trucks. I wasn't able to celebrate his birthday and I wanted to give him this tractor. I am amazed. I had it sent right to his house. He facetimed called me when he had opened the box and Daddy was putting it together. It has a battery and unknown to me it even has a radio!!!! I have to say (mind you he is a happy child) I have NEVER seen such a great joy and happiness in a child's face. My daughter this past Saturday(the first weekend after he got it) facetime called me to show him riding it. She said he is so tired but refuses to come in. He can go forward, backward and turn without a problem. I actually saw when the battery went down. Now, it is a good long life battery but he rode it for hours all day that the battery wore out. She could barely get him in for meals. I am so pleased. I highly recommend this. My older 2 grandsons 8 & 5 can ride it too because it can hold up to 80 pounds. I can't really tell you how over the moon with this tractor. I am tickled pink...

My baby loves this so it isn't going back but I cant find out where the charger port is so hopefully someone can help me. Also I wouldn't recommend this jeep for up to 8 yrs old my daughter is 6 and she looks too big for it

Remote control and adjustable speed is a safety feature
Safety feature is the remote control that can override the driver of the car and the adjustable speed. Fits both of my grandsons comfortably. They love it and I'd but this car again.

It’s okay.
It’s okay. The charger already broke off. I bought two for my twins. One does not play music. Instructions were complicated thank good hubby is an engineer. Remote control is on the same frequency because it controls both car. Which is a let down because you can control one car individual and we have drive our kids far apart to not interfere with the other. I really wish I knew that. Overall kids enjoy the car. Parents don’t.

Oh my goodness, this has got to be the cutest little tractor! My 32 month old daughter LOVES it! She got to ride for the first time tonight. It will go anywhere! We even set up the bluetooth and let her have some Baby Einstein radio and she thought that was the best thing ever to ride around on her tractor squealing to her music. She spent 30 minutes on it this evening and still wasnt ready to come in. I hope it holds up for years to come. It seems like it was well worth the price.
