Wonderful

This is the best hands down fig & ginger jam. I have tried many, however my search is over! Wonderful balance. The ginger helps calm my stomach.

Not as good as I had hoped

It tastes like prunes. I love fig jam but this is weird tasting. Not in a good way either. I will probably finish the jar but I will try to tap down the flavor with a strong cheese. By the way, I love figs, ginger and prunes but not together.

Delicious hors d'oeuvres!

Four stars because although it's labeled as jam, we don't really use it the traditional way - on toast or bread. I DO spread it on crackers (fig and cranberry crackers in your local grocery store's gourmet section) as a favorite hors d'oeuvre or in one of the suggested recipes - which are all good. A little bit goes a long way as it has a distinctive taste and quite sweet.
