Not as powerful as I remember
These binos are amazing, and so HD that things look fake. These are not as powerful as I remember using in service, but still great. I got them on sale, but for the price of these for just the expert price, you could get better from Vortex, but not as clear as Steiner. I have astigmatism, so these binos work great for adjusting for each eye. Highly recommended for astigmatism.

Great binoculars for boating
Title: Exceptional Binoculars for Sailing and Fishing Enthusiasts! As an avid sailor and fisherman, I recently had the pleasure of using these outstanding 7x50 binoculars, and I must say, they exceeded all my expectations. These binoculars are a game-changer for anyone who loves spending time out on the water, whether it's for spotting distant landmarks while sailing or observing marine life while fishing. The 7x50 lenses provide exceptional clarity and magnification, allowing me to see details on the horizon with remarkable precision. The images are sharp, bright, and true to color, making it easy to spot buoys, other boats, or even wildlife in the distance. The 7x magnification strikes a perfect balance between bringing objects closer and maintaining a steady image, which is crucial for activities like sailing and fishing where stability is key. The build quality of these binoculars is impressive, with a sturdy and durable construction that feels reliable in hand. The rubber armor coating provides a secure grip and added protection against bumps and drops, perfect for the rugged conditions often encountered at sea. I found these binoculars to be particularly well-suited for marine environments, thanks to their waterproof and fog-proof design. No matter the weather or sea conditions, I could rely on these binoculars to deliver top-notch performance every time. In conclusion, if you're in the market for binoculars to enhance your sailing or fishing experience, look no further. These 7x50 binoculars are a fantastic investment that will undoubtedly elevate your outdoor adventures on the water. Highly recommended!

Great quality for the price
Looking for a binocular I choosed a 8x30 ( I used as a soldier ), also mainly needed for hunting to distances up to 250/300 meters. But it worked also very well also for my hiking. After 22 years of extensive use I sent it back to Steiner for an overhaul. Very good quality for the money, and excellent all weather use.

Amazing clarity
We took the binoculars to our Arizona Utah canyon trip. Color’s were popping, clarity is superb. Having had inexpensive optics , this was just a dream.

Steiner military marine 7x50
These binoculars have the expected good Steiner optics. Disappointingly, the strap for the binoculars is thin and not padded (the case and it’s strap are fine). This bothers my neck (binoculars weigh about 2 lbs.). The padded, floating strap that Steiner sells as an accessory, is very expensive. A much better strap should have been included.

Great stuff
I got this for umpiring in the water sports under full weather conditions. I love all aspects of this binocular such as clarity, endurance, excellent grip, and pricing. Especially auto-focus function is essential to me in an emergency. So helpful. This is the best binocular in my life. Steiner, thank you very much for the excellent product.

Military-Marine 7x50
The best most well made binoculars I've ever owned. When you pick them up, you can feel the quality. They are a little heavy but my dad had a saying, if it's heavy it must be good. Meaning metal and glass weigh more than plastic. These are very good.

Point and shoot.
I own three pairs of Steiner binoculars, 8x22 8x30,and now 7x50,s . I like the set and forget type that work quite well for wildlife viewing in thick woods. Being an old man the 7x50, are nice for shakey hands! Good solid binoculars well worth the price.

Great binoculars-
Although these binoculars are a bit heavy, they give you a great view of what you are looking at. I use them for whale watching and they are better than any other binocular I have used in the past, including the ones used by the captain of the boat.

Would have liked a tripod thread but great optics
My first Steiners. The sport focus feature took a while to figure out as I really expected to need to re-focus all the time. They do have a very forgiving focus range, so following the instructions and trusting my eyes to accommodate does work. I suppose 7x don't really need tripod stability, but you can never be too stable. I appreciate there is no flat platform on the underside to put a thread, but these things do work upside down, so a brass thread on the upper surface could be a useful added feature for a future model. I do optics for a living (microscopes) and am always adding minor upgrades. Thread for camera filters could also be useful; but they would get in the way of the very good lens caps.

Solid, no frills product. Built to last
I received this gift from my Dad. He knows that I have always been partial to Steiner products because of their reputation for clear high quality optics. I have never had a set of 7x50 binos before and was pleasantly surprised by how much light they gather and the wide field of vision. They are a bit bulky but not uncomfortable due to the Makralon housing. I noticed very little distortion out to the edge of the lens with good definition of objects at distance. The rubberized covering appears to be durable and is comfortable in the hands. Focusing controls function smoothly with a feeling of quality. I feel that you can spend a lot more for very marginal increase in performance if you were to purchase some other brands. These binos offer an excellent balance of high quality at a still reasonable price. They are keepers.

My wife's favorite
My wife has severe eye problems, surgery for retinal tears etc. I have the Steiners for night navigation with our boat but we boat on the Mississippi Winter flyway for many bird species. No boating, no problem, watch birds, distant birds no problem, she gets the Steiners I take the 10X50s that my eyes accept and her's don't. Eagles, Mute Swans, Trumpeter Swans and various ducks are easy to reach out and touch for both of us. We pass many afficianadoes with tripods and long lenses looking at the same view we have with our binos, I reserve my tripod to my 1000mm telescope and use my hands to embrace my bino view of the daylight...unless it is night time and I am navigating with assistance from my Steiners. When a new member of our astronomical group asked what telescope was best for a newby, all would answer: A good pair of binoculars! You may not find deep sky objects are your interest, you may not find planets or asteroids are your interest but a great pair of binoculars will introduce you and if you don't want to be out in the dark, you will have a view of the world that is closer and clearer! Enjoy your view of the World.

The ho-hum of everyday hi standard equipment
This review is likely a mirror image of others. The quality is there for this useful proven product. So much so that it's a standard by which all others are compared to. I've had other binoculars but with this purchase, my marine borne operations are easier sans fumbling in the dark or in unfamiliar waters. I would recommend this binocular to anyone.
