[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so excited to have received this less is more game for review, as it is easy to understand , super fun for the family to play. Fast paced and comes with everything you need. It had the word cards , QR code for timer , erasable writing boards and pens. On hot summer days or cold winter nights , this game is sure to keep family and friends entertained for hours guessing words and giving clues with least letters , keeps everyone guessing for non stop enjoyment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had such a blast playing less is more. As a family we really enjoy playing board games and this was no exception. In each round your have a guesser and the rest of the players are clue givers. Your write the clues down on a whiteboard type tablet with a dry erase marker. I loved this option because my 9 year old was able to correct her spelling and even adjust her clue. The words were simple enough for the whole family to guess and we were able to help our 6 year old join in on the fun with some help. We all had a great time working to guess the word with the clues. We played several rounds and would have kept going if we could! Lots of fun. Definitely a great option for older kids and It sparked some great imagination in creating clues. Again, my 6 year old was able to join in with some adjusting and help from mom but it worked!

I had to read the instructions a few times to understand how it works and as an adult explaining it to adults it wasnt the easiest thing to do. Once we started playing it was fun but once again this is a game for a big group. Playing with four people was OK but since my husband and I played boardgames together we couldnt play this one with just the two of us so it wouldnt be used as often as we play our other games.

The instructions were easy to read and the game set up and clean up were quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this game to any family thats looking for an evening of fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to be chosen to review this toy with my niece! I tried to play this game with my sister and my niece who is 8. It was way too difficult for her so we just changed it to drawing a picture of the word. I did end up playing the game as it should be played with adults and it was great! I like how they have a QR code for access to the digital timer. I have never seen that done before and we all agreed that it was a nice feature. The game was a really fun challenge. We also like how we each had our own little board and erasable marker. I would absolutely recommend to Adults and Teens!

I'm not sure if it was just us but we were a little confused with the instructions and the QR code that was supposed to take you to the timer didn't work. We interpreted the instructions the best we could since Spin Master didn't have an instructional video for this game online yet and used a timer from youtube. We are a family of 3 which is the minimum you need to play this game. It would probably be even more fun with the max of 6 players. Our daughter is 10 and this kept her attention and she has been asking to play it again, we've promised her we will the next time it rains. It is summer afterall. I would purchase this game as a gift for her friends, or cousins. Overall it's a fun game and it doesn't take too long to play so you could do multiple rounds and not get bored.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is fun! Its a neat concept and definitely requires some creative thinking. Coming up with clues and trying to guess them can be downright tricky! I love the whiteboards - gone are the days of pencils and scrap paper, or so I thought. The biggest downside of this game is the scoring. I had to read the instructions multiple times and it made my brain hurt. Theres no way wed be able to score this without a pencil and paper, and that takes away from the game. The QR code should be to a virtual scoreboard instead of a timer! Well honestly probably make up a simpler scoring method.

So when @familyrated @spinmastergames sent over Less is More to try, our competitiveness did not come out . The object of the game is to have a player guess the secret word by giving them clues with as few letters as possible. Clearly mom and dad were no match for our twins who definitely had their twin connection advantage. They were able to guess the secret word with each others clue quick and easily while we struggled. But it was hours of fun and laughs and mom and dad are definitely going to up their gameplay for the rematch!

We had lots of fun trying to guess the words -- and also trying to come up with clever ways to write clues using as few letters as possible. It's definitely better with a larger group as you get to see many different interpretations of clues, and more usually more laughs!

This game provided a fun opportunity for us to practice writing and letter work with our boys during the summer. They are competitive and had a ball. Highly recommend this for a family game night!

Sets up In a couple of minutes and spelling doesn't matter ! Great for the kids to practice spelling though. We will definitely be playing it again.

The QR code for the timer brought me to a site that didnt work on my iPhone but that made no difference. The kids were asking when we would play again and its a sneaky way to make them practice their penmanship so its a win for parents too!

They love thinking of words or a short combination of letters that the other would guess the right word. Its funny that while playing some of us even wrote the same clue down but with more or less letters then the other. We are all getting better at this game and will be so much fun when we bring it amping with us.

It was fun fun right from the first round! I like this game because you have to find creative ways to figure out what the word is without shouting it it's like charades but with words. Some clues can sound really funny, others can be really tricky. This game teaches kids how to sound out words and write them out so they can get a clue to the group. The dry erase part of the game makes it super easy to get to the next round or clue with a simple wipe, the scannable timer via the qr code is a great feature easily accessible every game and one less piece to lose. We love family game night. It helps us connect with our children and have some really good laughs and some fun.

It allows players to be creative and succinct in their responses, which is harder than it seems, especially when on a time limit. A great number of answer cards are included, allowing for hundreds of rounds without repeating. Recommended age is 8. We played with a younger child (6 1/2) and it was a bit too difficult for her. Saying that, as an adult I also found it challenging - trying to offer a good clue to the secret word in as few letters as possible is difficult. With 3 players, we played several rounds, and enjoyed the game. We were not always successful in figuring out the secret clue. I think this game would be most fun with a lot of players (6 is the maximum). The only issue we had was with the white boards. The marker erasers did not clean them very well. We ended up using wipes as well. But, after a few rounds, a hue of black remained and you could even see some of the erased letters. I was able to clean the boards more thoroughly using a household cleaning tool. For this, I have taken off a star.

The 'white board' doesn't really wipe off well and leaves a lot of black markings even after wiping down with the eraser, and a towel. So the more you play, the messier it will become and you will probably need a different color marker down the road. My kids did have fun, and this is just the parent in me speaking, but I did wish that it wasn't so encouraging of the use of shorter misspelled words. In our day and age right now, we are always shortening everything possible, and even though this is a game, I wish it had a bit more educational factor to it. This part did not affect my rating of the game.
